Is there anyone out there who can recommend some "clean" Manga? You know, something with a PG rating and not something I can only find in Japan?

Angelic Layer is a good, clean manga. The only thing I remember bad in it are a couple of underwear jokes, nothing weird.

We might be able to help more if you give us more info. What kind of anime are you in to? Do you like sci-fi? Drama? Fantasy? Samurai? Let us know what genres to delve into and we can probably taylor it to better suit your tastes.

Oh! I think Saint Tail is supposed to be clean, although I haven't read it.

Hmm... I haven't heard of most of those except Zoids and Fruits Basket, but I like looking up new things. About what genres I like, I'll read just about any genre there is out there. Thanks for the help!

I'd also recommend the Gundam Wing series. I haven't read the actual manga-version of the TV series, but I have read all the "extras" (Ground Zero, Blind Target, Episode Zero, Battlefield of Pacifists) There was not even a hint of fanservice (let alone nudity) and I don't even remember there being any cussing, but if there was, it obviously wasn't heavy. Angelic Layer is a great one, as is MKR.

I believe Viz announced that they have acquired the Megaman: NT Warrior manga and are going to publish it a little later this year.

According to the report, it should be out in May.

Isn't Sandland a manga about beezlebub, and Lucifer, and satan. I've been steering clear away from it. I realize that in enjoying manga and anime, I will run into the occult and fantasy characters like in Shaman King, Naruto, One Piece, etc., but something which deals with satan, like Sandland, I steer clean and well away from.

I've come across a couple mangas at my local library but I don't know if there any good or not (I've seen them in the catalog but I haven't actually looked through them) so if anyone knows anything about them I'd appreciate the info. There names are "Megatokyo" and "Ranma 1/2". I'm not anime illiterate I've heard of both of these I just haven't seen them anywhere before (not that I've looked for them before) and I don't have cable TV so I miss out on some stuff, and the bad part is I think there trying to get an all anime TV channel (if they don't already have it) but its on cable.

For online, i would go with 9thelsewhere. (http://www.9thelsewhere.com) and for just your standard manga, i would definitly have to say Azumanga Daioh if that is your thing. If you are looking for a really good clean comedy i would go with Azumanga.

sand land is about beelzebub son of lucifar king of demons. he's 2500 years old, and as excelent strength ect ect. (and kinda looks like Gotenks)

Im not even sure if this takes place on earth for that matter. Well either you deal with japanses deamons or american... its all the same. IMO id probably like sand land over shamamn king becasue it seems more..well "Makebeleive"
(i really dont think lucifer has a son)

Shoorijin posted very in-depth reviews of the Ranma 1/2 anime/manga series here:
http://www.christiananime.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4327
and the OAV and movies here:
http://www.christiananime.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4327
They will give you plenty of info about it.

As for Megatokyo, I've read much of it and it was pretty good.
The content would be equal to a PG-13.

I just finished Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind by Miyazaki. It's really wonderful, and very clean. No nudity, very few cuss words, a little violent, but not graphic. There is some mention of magic, but it's not part of the story at all really. There are four volumes.

Another clean manga is Iron Wok Jan. I've only read the first volume so far (I think there are 7). A little more cussing in that one, a couple scuffles but no violence. It's about a restaurant, teenage apprentice chefs, and Chinese cooking, so there's not much room for that kind of thing!! It's really funny, and can be quite dramatic though! Give it a shot!

I can't recommend anything cept the stuff that they already did.

Warning:
When I watched the subbed version of Initial D, I kept having to cover the TV screen because of all the swear words. Also, there was a scene where Takumi and his friend were looking at girls' underwear from the bottom of the staircase. But other than that, it's clean.
The Gundam Wing from Toonami didn't have swear words, but it was also shown on another channel and there were occasional d-words and hell and stuff.

Oops! I've read more of Iron Wok Jan and there is some non-sexual nudity in Vol. 3. I haven't read Vol. 2 so I don't know about that one. Vol. 4 and 5 have no nudity, but some use of the f-word. Oh well, not exactly a PG rating anymore.

Saint Tail (manga, at least; I haven't watched the anime) is definitely a good one. I remember one bad word, I think, and its portrayal of Christianity is actually pretty inoffensive.

Both the Saint Tail anime and manga are excellent. Very close to 100% G rated material, except for minor words that appear once every few episodes. While it involves a nun, mentioning of God, praying for forgiveness, and doing good deeds, there is very little blatant Christian material. Usually just a phrase or two every episode or chapter. Aka-chan is right on by saying the portrayal is inoffensive. (Good taste, Aka-chan!)

I have been told that the Saint Tail manga is out of print, so if you see some, either scoop it up fast or sit down and read it! Also, the anime is hard to find too, said she who speaks from personal experience. I finally have the whole dvd set now and I'm working on finding all the mangas. And I couldn't end a paragraph about Saint Tail without mentioning to *not* judge the series by the English dub. It's horrid.

I don't think it's out of print as you can order new copies off of Amazon but they have a limited stock of them so they could be.

Apparantly, Tokyopop also brought the anime to the US...

I hope it's not out of print... I got issue #2 for Christmas, and hope to get the 1st one and the rest of the series (based on info from here on CAA).

Now that I've got a job (woot!) I hope to get them all now.
