Death Note is still running, currently on its 83rd chapter. I believe there are at least seven volumes currently out, but obviously there are more to come.

wow they're releasing them quick for a manga that only has 7 volumes in Japan... I was under the impression that it was 6 though. Have they made the 7th volume? I wanna see the pretty cover art~

The pace is slightly quick, but it makes sense when considered carefully. I believe they are releasing it bimonthly, so they will catch up to the Japanese series roughly at September of 2006. In that time, there will probably be about 48 new issues of Death Note, if that many. It seems very possible to me that the series could end in that time.

As for the 7th Volume, I really can't confirm anything.

Just a note: if you wish to discuss that subject it would probably be better placed in the manga forum. I personally find the debate highly amusing.

I LOVE YOU~ <3

ahh gosh this is probably spam now... I'll make it not spam

Later in the series the sexual rating might go up slightly as Misa and Light start living together. And Misa wears some pretty revealing things.... Light's still only using her of course, being the black-hearted guy he is XD

I think a 3 is still good enough for the current series content, though it is possible that could change. However, I think the focus is on all the scheming, so relationships are mostly left unexplored. Also, I found your musings on L and Light fairly funny.

Given recent chapters, Light is quite the manipulator, isn't he?

Sorry to add a stupid comment in the middle of you two's conversation. I won't do it again.

No.. actually.. no you don't. XD My attitude right now is a very crazy "DIE, RAITO! GET CAUGHT! DO SOMETHING DUMB AND GET CAUGHT! DIE LIKE EVERY DEATH YOU PUT DOWN IN THAT BOOK! graaAAWR"

...

Maybe I'm concentrating too much on this story and it's getting unhealthy.

While obsession is possible, disliking Light is as valid a position as liking him for his diabolical nature. Probably a more healthy one, actually.

Once again, I am curious as to how this series will turn out. As I've said before, the worst possible ending would be that Light simply wins, taking over the world. I'm holding out for he and all the other Death Note holders getting hit by a truck.

I've heard the manga ended with 12 volumes. They're finishing it in the US.

Thank you, but please try to observe the last post date when searching threads. Members of this thread have actually discussed the ending of Death Note elsewhere.
EDIT: I apologize, I didn't realize this was the review thread. Since I'm here, I'll update the review as necessary.

Are you looking in the anime reviews, by chance? I see it in the manga section:
http://www.christiananime.net/manga_reviews.php?display=171

The review is a bit old but I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't be accurate for the entire series (except for an additional religious objection).

EDIT: Never mind, it doesn't work because of changes in the system. The one in my post is operational.

Just read this review.... I think the nudity part needs to be updated... In volume nine you see a woman from the side showering and she is BARELY covered by steam. Also a little later you see her from behind and the angle dips lower then just her back.

Overall I think it needs an update. Especially since this was written with only vol.1-6 in mind hehe ^_^"""' and all 12 volumes are now released in america!

I second Vernhal's update request. I just finished the series myself, and was going to comment about that scene. It should definitely be noted in the review. ^^;

Ah, yes, I had forgotten about this. I have modified the review to include this one scene, but it has been far too long since I read the manga for me to rewrite the review.
