Completion of Graduate Research ^^ Praise Him!

Postby Mave » Sat Sep 24, 2005 5:59 pm

I want to thank everyone who was involved in prayers and support in the duration of my graduate school term.

As of yesterday (Sept 23, 2005), I successfully submitted my final copy of my Master's thesis and officially graduate with a M.S. degree in Food Science.

This means A LOT to me since I've struggled throughout the last 2 1/2 years to get to this point. A year ago, I thought that I would never make it out. A year ago, I thought I was a total failure and all my hard work/tears would never be of much worth.

Isn't this amazing? Just by looking back these posts, I can't believe how I made it through or rather, how God has carried me through with the help of your prayers and the offline moral support group God supplied me (offline friends, family, boyfriend). Wow, what a journey indeed!

I can’t recall a time I’ve felt so….free. While I still have a bit more of unfinished things to do, I’m just amazed at how many things quickly got settled yesterday during the submission process. I’m so filled with joy ~ I don't deserve God's Mercy and Love and yet He has blessed me with this success!

So Praise God, my friends! Praise Him indeed!

God is AWESOME, Almighty Lord of Creation, Merciful King, Lover of my Soul. He hath leadeth me to this trial of life and hath leadeth me through it. He hath provided me strength & comfort and was always there for me. I will forever sing praises of His goodness. The Lord's favor is upon me! Praise Him!

Congratulations!
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge
