Family needs prayer

Postby Azier the Swordsman » Tue Nov 04, 2003 8:30 am

As some of you know, my dad is the pastor of a small (growing) church. There is a family that has been with my church for years, and have been a great help to us while we've been struggling as a small church. However, lately they've been turning rather cold towards my family. It isn't something that happened over night. Gradually, each one of them has been acting very mean towards my family. I would go as far as to say they aren't even the same people we knew a year ago. They have completely changed. I know this is the latest attack by the enemy on our church, and I would like to pray that God changes their hearts.

Definitely. Has anything been said to them about it?

My dad talked with them on the phone last night. I have no idea what was said though. I'll provide an update later.

Sometimes Christians are most hurtful to one another. Somehow getting hurt by a fellow believer cuts deeper than if it was coming elsewhere.

I'll pray that God's guidance will be with everyone, and that His love will shine through, regardless of the circumstances.

I will be praying for your family and the other family. God will work things out.^-^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
