Introduce yourself

Postby righteous_slave » Tue Oct 28, 2003 8:58 am

Hey hey hey what do you say. I go by the name righteous slave, taken from Romans 6. I'm 27 years old, live in Kansas, am married for the second time, have two children from this marriage and one from the previous. After spending many years in the darkness, i was saved by the efforts of my present wife, a loving accepting church and a trip to Promise Keepers. I know about death, drugs, depression, from before, and now know love life and freedom. I am working on my pastoral credentials with my church after feeling called to the ministry. I dig christian heavy metal (speed, thrash, death, black) as well as punk, emo, industrial, techno, pop, just about anything. I have always enjoyed anime and magna, but haven't had the money to really delve into it. Other stuff includes Calvin and Hobbes and lots of other comic strips, video games, toys, Star Wars, Battletech, debating, politics, writing, and drawing. I stumbled across this place and am very glad to find it nd hope to have many good conversations (and friendly arguemnts  ) Dig the dancing banannas too!!

You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. Rom. 6:18

God can do anything, anytime, anyway He wants to.......if He wants to paint me blue and hang me upside down nekkid from an apple tree, thats alright, as long as it's God doing it. Of course, if He comes through with a directive like that, I might have to ask for some I.D. Michael Wanke

Hey, welcome! :lick: <-- I lick all newbies

I love your avatar. Calvin and Hobbes is the best comic strip ever made.

Let's see, about me... I'm am artist-in-training (see my web site), am going back to school for art after getting a B.A. in Theology, and am married to Oldphilosopher (who I'm sure will be by later to give his greetings).

Yes, the dancing bananas rock, as do both licking smilies. :lickbash: This one's pretty cute too:

Hi, welcome to CAA! Calvin and Hobbes is a great strip, but my all-time favorite will always be The Far Side.

I can't say that... I'm torn between FS, C&H and Dlbrt.

Thought, in a pinch I'd go with C&H, I guess...
