I'm new...

Postby RobertMuldooJP » Sun Sep 14, 2003 11:02 am

Hello everyone,

I am sooo thankful that I found this place off of Google. My core group of friends are really into anime (one in particular has seen over 50 series) so naturally they pulled me in too. I started off with Trigun, dabbled with a few other series, and just finished Samurai Deeper Kyo (my favorite :thumb: )

Why did I search for a place like this? I started watching Hellsing and realized that I needed anime suggestions from fellow Christians. Luckily this place exists, I'm tired of rank anime's that have no moral value.

Other shows I like: Seinfeld, The Simpsons, Star Trek Voyager, and Survivor.

Just thought I would introduce myself

Welcome! Nice to know ya! Trigun is a good series, along with Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam (any of em practically), Escaflowne, Inuyasha, and a few others that I can't really think of right now, but those are that I have seen and would recommend.

hehe, Soul Calibur and Zelda are my favorite games (among others) :)

I've had a difficult time finding anime's that I actually like. :stressed: My favorites are clean series with good character developement and not too much humor (Trigun, Samurai Deeper Kyo). Any suggestions?

Sangoku, I'll look into Escaflowne and Inuyasha, thanks for the suggestion :)

Well, Inuyasha has quite a bit of humor, but Gundam doesn't, if you really want a serious and rather depressing series, but with a theme of hope, the Now and Then, Here and There is a good choice. Yeah, Soul Calibur (1 and 2) are good games.

Hi RobertMuldooJP, welcome to CAA! Glad you found us.

As for clean series with a lot of action but not a lot of humor, I think people have already made some good recommendations. The Vision of Escaflowne (the series, not the movie) is a great one, as is Rurouni Kenshin. Record of Lodoss War is another very good series to try.

don't go there to mourn
but to celebrate (x2)
