Well you're not gonna get people's real favorite movies if they have to fit that criteria now are ya? ;)

I don't know what you mean by mystic if ya don't explain what ya mean.:P

And my favorite movie was made before 1980 so...can we say our favorite movie without fitting in this criteria please? :)

Yeah, some of the best movies are animated! Anyway, my favorite movies would definitely have to be The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I was a Ringer before the movies even came about, so I was pretty pleased with them... although if I had to choose, The Two Towers would be my favorite. The Battle of Helm's Deep just won it over for me.

But seeing as how you're a fellow Orli fan, you probably like those movies too! Pirates of the Carribbean was great also. ^_^

I will leave 2004 movies off of my list, as I will have to wait and determine if they belong on the list (with one exception, which you will easily note). I probably have forgotten some of my favorites, but that is somewhat inevitable...:

I don't have a specific favourite movie. I go through times when a certain movie is my favourite above another. Here's my list the few I alternate between.

Ben Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1957 version)
Flawed but brilliant. A young man seeking revenge against the Roman Empire (and his former best friend) keep crossing paths with Christ.

Seven Samurai
A Village hires some samurai to fight some bandits. Has some of the best acting you'd ever find.

Casablanca
"You must remember this...." An all time classic.

Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo"
A man with a fear of heights is asked to follow around an old-friend's wife who may who is having some trouble. To reveal anymore would be a crime against movie-buffs.

Fargo
Joel and Ethan Coen's tragic-comedy ode to Minnesota as well as a "Crime doesn't pay" parable. A used car-salesman hires two goons to kidnap his wife so that her rich father could pay a ransom. Everything goes HORRIBLY wrong! Soon on the criminals trails are Marge Gunderson...a pregnant female sherrif from Brainerd, Min.

Spirited Away
You know this one, I'm certain.

Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro
The first movie directed by Miyazaki (Spirited Away) is flawed, uneven, but more fun that most live action movies in the same genre!! Who cares if FIATs can't drive up cliffs!

The General (1928 silent movie)
Buster Keaton (who inspired Jackie Chan) plays a Civil War rail-road engineer who's favourite locomotive is stolen with his girlfriend on board. He starts to chase them on a bicycle and finally another locomotive. Not many movies feature locomotive chases.

The Gold Rush (Charlie Chaplin silent film)
A Little Tramp goes to the Klondike to find some gold. Gets into one adventure after another and falls in love with a dance-hall girl. Melodramatic, but if you can stop being a snob and shun old silent movies, then this is a treat. See Chaplin eat his own shoe!!

Bridge on the River Kwai
Semi-Epic movie about a Colonel during WW2 who loses his common sense and gets obsessed with building a bridge over the river Kwai, even if it means helping the enemy.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The best Spaghetti Western ever made, it's also pretty ludicrous...but who cares? One of the best epics featuring an anti-hero (or a trio of them).

10.Mystery Science Theater: The Movie
9...A Goofy Movie (got most of the songs memorized...)
8...Spiderman
7...Secret of Nimh
6...Two Towers / Fellowship of the Ring
5...Blade Runner
4...Frequency
3...Donnie Darko
2...Return of the King (still waiting for the extended version)
1...Tied: Passion of the Christ and To End All Wars. Both of the Christian movies (one catholic, one protestant), both of them about the only Christian movies that don't suck.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.

My favorites are:
Hangman's Curse, Finding Nemo
Soldier, Johnny English
X-men, Spiderman, & 2
Miss Congeniality, Bulletproof Monk
Master of Disguise, Meltdown

I think that's all of them. They aren't in any particular order though.
