Owwww. . . Australia. One of my many "I'm gonna go there one day." places. ARe you generally behind the states as far as manga release goes, or do you get it the same.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

i dont know about manga that much. i know that a games store called EBgames just got .hack LOTB manga in at around febuary/march. Other than that, anime is a slow process to get to australia. initial d... i think disc 5 or 6 still hasnt come out here. Games too. .hack//mutation came out only just two weeks ago.
Why it is so is still a mystery to me.

You should talk to someone at that store and ask them about manga/anime/game release dates. He may be able to give you some information.

As for the manga, I've been eyeing it for a long time (the art is sooooo cute!) but haven't bought it. Nor have I seen vol. 3 in any store here in the States. Has it been released yet, or is it just evading me!?

Well it'd be kinda dumb just to translate the first two volumes of a series, wouldn't it? And judging by the huge .hack fanbase stateside (and in other English-speaking countries) I think it's a pretty safe bet that they'll continue...

:( I own the first volume. It's a nice little book. Good story, romance, comedy but enough action to keep it going. there is a little bit of comedic nudity, but it's undetailed and very little. It also had a ".hack//centerfold" int eh beginning that showed Rena and Merielle ina hot springs. o_O However, I hold a weapon more powerful than "the pen" it's called..."THE SCISSORS!" (Bum bum BUUUUUUM) Pages go bye bye! ^_^ Also, Shugo is a bit of a peeping tom. "Just grab a corner of the picnic blanket, Peeky McStaresalot." as Rena so elegantly put it.

I have the first two manga volumes. I enjoyed it enough that I will probably pick up the third when it is released.

The third volume was delayed a few months (I assume because of the anime). The current release date is November 9th.
