AA Sausage joining the CAA Crew!

Postby Kat Walker » Sat Aug 09, 2003 5:07 pm

Hi everybody! I finally decided to join CAA after weeks of being interested but being too lazy to register! (a crashing browser doesn't help much, either. :stressed: ) I've been a member of Anime Angels since....before it was even anime angels (username "Kathleen"). Part of the staff there too...I write articles *needs to catch up on that*.

I've always been apprehensive about joining other boards because people on the 'net are so rude and obnoxious nowadays -- but after sifting through the forums and seeing how cool, nice, funny, and talented all you people are I knew I'd be missing out! Plus it's a forum for GOD and ANIME lovers. What's not to enjoy?! Plus you've got funky emoticons! :thumb:

Anywho, a bit about me....I'm 18 and entering college this fall for an Associate's Degree in Digital Imaging Technology (websites, graphics, computer art, programming, 3D animation, fun stuff!) and am planning to go to a University for a career in animation after that. I'm addicted to cartoons of all sorts! I'm also an amateur comic artist, I prefer American-comic style though, so most people who know me on Anime Angels may be shocked to hear I even do art. I've never mentioned a thing about it since it's non-anime, and I have no scanner so I have very little to show anyway. I drew my own avatar...which will hopefully show up as soon as my browser decides to be a good boy and not irritate me to the point of insanity. :mutter:

Anyway, nice to meet all of you, and I look forward to posting lots and lots in the future! Ja ne for now! (that means goodbye, right? )

Thanks! ^^ Yeah she's supposed to be a mermaid or whatnot. Her ear looks weird, but oh well.

Hi Kat,

Glad to have you here at CAA! I just checked out Anime Angels for the first time today. It looked interesting, but then I didn't stay long enough to find the manga (or do you have to subscribe?). Guess that just means a return trip.

As far as I know, ja ne means good-bye (I think just 'ja works too--someone correct me if I'm wrong!).

Thanks for the welcome! I think Keely's already taking subscriptions for the MangaZine, you just gotta sift through the links a bit. Anyway, its not due out for a few months yet -- and if you want to read the comics, most of them are available at the respective artist's website. They're all quite cool! ^^ The links to get there are the little pictures of manga characters on the top bar, they'll take you to an info page about each comic, and the links are available there.

Hi! Welcome to CAA! Your avatar looks really nice, BTW. Is it a smaller part of a big pic? You should post some in the art gallery when you get a scanner or access to one...:)

(in response to an interview question "Do you have a pet peeve having to do with this biz?")
People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

So would it be an oxymoron to be a vegetarian sausage?

Why not go all the way and ask for a Vegan Sausage?

Like going to McDonalds:
Me: I'd like a Cheeseburge, but hold the cheese, please.
Barely discernable voice: fhwqagads hamvber?
Me: No, a cheeseburge, without cheese.
voice: klsdizlehsl hamburg shake?
Me: No, I like the yellow paper, OK!?!
voice: alkdizleocma fries fnv-ame adodalxidnmc aldkeoz
Me: You don't say!
voice: alzhdlakxowls. $2,830.93
Me: Do you speak Bacci?

Oh, and Majan: Pleonastic means "wordy" thus the gag.

Shooby: If you have to explain it, it's NOT funny!
Eirewolf: It is if he spells it wrong all the time.
Shooby: ...
Shoogy: OK. THAT's funny.
