[Fall 2014] Season of Hype

If you don't like this season, you actually hate anime.

Much like the threads before it, this is a thread I created stole from blkmage for the discussion of new anime that will be airing on TV in Japan in the Fall 2014 season. Anime typically gets released and runs for a number of seasons. The year is divided up into four seasons: January to March is winter, April to June is spring, July to September is summer, and October to December is fall. Each season is approximately 13 weeks.

Here, we can talk about what shows look interesting, what we plan to watch, and generally get giddy and excited for things that we've been anticipating for a while.

Wow... I don't actually have the time to keep up with this season, but I'm going to try to watch:

Akatsuki no Yona - I didn't even see this one until Kaze put it up there on the list. Looked fairly interesting, might as well put it to my ever growing list to watch this season.
Amagi Brilliant Park - I don't even remember why I put this on my list, but I guess it looks interesting.
Denki-Gai no Honya-san - The manga has been on my Plan To Read for quite a while now, looks like I might as well watch the anime beforehand.
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works - With Fate/Zero being my third favorite anime, how could I possibly miss this?
Grisaia no Kajitsu - I've been planning to read the VN that the Sekai Project is going to translate, but they are going to take way too long, might as well watch the anime.
Log Horizon Season 2 - And I've been waiting for over a half a year for this, even though its only slightly better than SAO, imo.
Magic Kaito - Finally my favorite 12 episode OVA actually gets a season of anime. Hopefully it will be 2 cour.

Carried over from last season: (I might end up dropping the first one though)

hmmmm.

Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo-- looks like it could be interesting. -- upon further investigation, the character designs look a bit under dressed. I'll probably still have a look at it.

Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de-- Get super powers, nothing happens for six months. By Trigger. Could be hilarious, I'll give it a shot.

Amagi Brilliant Park -- by the guy who wrote Full Metal Panic, on the other hand, MAL lists the books as 'harem'... I'll keep an eye on it.

Gugure! Kokkuri-san -- based off a 4-pannel, looks silly.

Garo: Honoo no Kokuin -- thinking about it.

Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji -- dunno maybe.

World Trigger -- maybe.

Sequels I plan to watch:

Hitsugi no Chaika: Avenging Battle

Log Horizon Season 2

That should keep me busy and then some.

I have high expectations for Gugure! and Log Horizon.

Will for sure be watching:

Amagi Brilliant Park - Because KyoAni. ;)

Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de - Because the premise sounds quite funny. Also, Trigger.

Mushishi Zoku Shou 2 - As I'm sure you guys know by now, I wouldn't miss this for the world! :) Mushishi is love~ <3

Psycho-Pass 2 - Thought the first season was pretty well-done, so I might as well watch this season, too.

May end up watching:

Gugure! Kokkuri-san - Because it looks cute and funny. I'll wait to decide on watching it until I hear what people are saying about it, though.

Also:

I already have the Donten ni Warau (+ prequel) and Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso manga series in my plan-to-read list, so I'll be reading those instead (or at least first, anyway). (I've also heard some good things about the Akatsuki no Yona manga, but haven't decided whether or not to read it yet.) And I am planning on watching Log Horizon, but I have to actually see S1 first :) , and there are other series I'd rather prioritize ATM, so it might be a while before I get around to it.
Saved by grace.

Can't say I'm too excited for Build Fighters Tri at the moment. G-Reco, on the other hand... it'll be interesting to see Tomino at the helm again.

Was going to watch Nanatsu no Taizai, as the premise sounded interesting enough and I've been craving a new medieval-esque series, but after reading the first chapter of the manga... no thanks. I'll continue hopelessly waiting for a MaoYuu lookalike that doesn't have an OP protagonist/magical shenanigans and is actually half-decent.

Great, I picked the best season to try to limit myself to watching only three or four shows… *coughcough* maybe five… But whatever else I say, I’ll probably give most a first episode watch anyway. At least some of what I’m interested in has a first season I need to go watch first, so that helps, right. Apart from Mushishi, I don't really have any definite will watches yet.

The probably tier:

Ai Tenchi Muyo! - I know nothing about Tenchi Muyo but I might have to watch this for the Yasuda character designs. I’m pretty sure I’ve picked up shows for worse reasons. Also the damage is only 5 minutes per ep.

Denki-Gai no Honya-san - Death by PV music. I might be less interested if there’re too many jokes of a certain kind.

Hitsugi no Chaika: Avenging Battle - Liked the first season, but not sure if it’s enough to watch this one if there are better shows vying for time.

Gugure! Kokkuri-san - I like that it looks like it won’t take itself seriously.

Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de - Trigger maybe.

Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu - I’ve had the manga on my To-Read for a while, so considered marathoning it before the anime airs but then I might be annoyed with changes so I’ll watch it first.

Mushishi Zoku Shou 2 - This is a myth. Don't die production staff.

Nanatsu no Taizai - I like the “adventure look” of it. @Crossfire, what put you off it in the manga?

World Trigger - Because hype. Nice character designs/art.

Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road - Because darn them for ending the previous season on a cliffhanger.

The maybe tier:

Akatsuki no Yona - Mmmm. Is it bad that I’m more interested in the dude leading the coup?

Amagi Brilliant Park - The KyoAni won me over.

Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo - Why isn’t this dragons piloting mechs? I don’t hold much hope for it and I think Captain Earth and A:Z cured me of being enthusiastic about anything mecha for a while.

Donten ni Warau - Minus points for PV unavailable in your country.

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works - I’ll probably just add this to the list of Fate/stay things I need to watch someday.

Garo: Honoo no Kokuin - Character designs...

Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji - I don’t know if I like the possible/seemingly abusive part of the relationship.

Orenchi no Furo Jijou - On a scale of 1-to-Free! how yaoi is this?

Psycho-Pass 2 - If I’m feeling generous.

Sanzoku no Musume Ronja - The art looks very Ghibli.

Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis - The character designs are really interesting but mmmm card games.

SHIROBAKO - PA Works stop making things I think I’ll be interested in. I don't want to be disappointed again. T_T

Sora no Method - Because Kaze's description seems to be the sum total of the available information on this. It's sci-fi though?

Terra Formars - The bits I could see of the PV before it error'd out made it seem a lot like AoT.

For some more serious and detailed reasons about the hype surrounding this season...

Well, first, a couple of you mentioned Akatsuki no Yona which is, uh, better than I would've thought but its biggest problem is it takes a long time for the major plot to kick in yet the starting material is hardly filler so the anime pacing is kind of in a lose-lose situation. If it ends up being 2 cour, that'll help some.

Mushishi is a given, but obligatory mention and hope the production staff delivers. Other sequels that people are excited for are Chaika, Yowamushi Pedal, and Log Horizon.

Even if I wasn't a fun, Psycho Pass was pretty popular so there's that too. Do note Urobuchi is not returning for the script, although he is "supervising" it. Some people might interpret that as a good thing.

Fate/Stay Night is somewhat also a given. People have wanted a proper FSN reboot for years, and with ufotable proving their worth in regards to anything Nasuverse, it's pretty certain this will be a great adaptation of the source. Note the music is being written by Hideyuki Fukusawa, who recently did the soundtrack for Type-Moon's Mahoutsukai no Yoru, and ended up being highly praised for it. It was a combination of epic and "even if this isn't the best, it fits the scene perfectly."
@GeneD, if you can wait long enough, I recommend watching this->Heaven's Feel (which could take years...)->Fate/Zero as that is the intended order of plot/information acquirement whereas basically any other anime-only person has already had everything spoiled via F/Z. That skips Fate route so...I suppose you can watch the original FSN anime first; even though it's pretty bad, you'd start with the worst and it's still okay-ish strictly in terms of learning how the world works (though may still be unneeded depending how UBW goes).

Grisaia no Kajitsu is a weird one. Everything about it says generic harem, and honestly, it kind of is. One thing it has going for it is its comedy, which, albeit lewd (so I can certainly see why some will not want to watch), is a lot better and wittier writing than your average romcom harem. The characters all have enough quirks to make it very enjoyable. Note the heroine routes have some wide variety from cliched ojou to psychological disorders and more, but right now it's a big question mark what they plan to do. The weird thing about this is it's a trilogy, and while the first game is basically a generic harem (with good writing), the sequels take a very different and more suspense-orientated story while still maintaining the comedy of the first game. So the real question is whether they plan to adapt the full trilogy, which at worst will lead to a weird first season into better later seasons, or whether they will just stick to the first game, which would allow them a lot more freedom to do whatever they please.

Sora No Method has lots of potential and could very well be a hidden gem in this sea of hyped shows. Unfortunately, yes, there is basically no information on the plot but the writer is Naoki Hisaya, who is best known for Kanon and Sola. As such, I suspect it to be some sort of supernatural tearjerker, since well, that's exactly what Kanon and Sola were. I know some people weren't fans of those, but it should still appeal to a large crowd.

G-Reco will be very interesting to see Tomino write the entire script himself. At the very least, I see this being above average.

Kiseijuu is supposed to be a really good manga, though I have not read it so I cannot comment. Madhouse has been on an amazing roll lately though, so it can very well end up as good as people claim.

There are also things people are hyping for less reliable reasons, such as Amagi Park for the writer behind Full Metal Panic + KyoAni, Ushinawareta for its source material (I'm 95% sure the anime will ruin it), Cross Ange (voice cast and music will be amazing. plot...is very questionable), Shirobako for PA Works, Inou-Battle for Trigger, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso which I actually do like; it's cute, and Nanatsu no Taizai because people like the manga (the battles are cool but aside from that, I'm not a fan).

Probably missed something and will insult someone because there are too many things people are looking forward to.

Sanzoku no Musume Ronja - The art looks very Ghibli.

it is.

The most important thing about Amagi Brilliant Park is that it will make all the 'more FMP anime' people so mad. Kadokawa, KyoAni, Gatoh, Takemoto, and Bonta-kun came here to laugh at you.

Ok. Um...I'm actually not as hyped for this season as I was for the Summer. I guess that means I hate anime, which I don't. lol. I didn't even realize it was already time for the fall. Anyway.

Akatsuki no Yona: Really interesting. Will probably watch, and why do the voices sound so familiar?
Amagi Brilliant Park: KyoAni. Duh.
Denki-Gai no Honya-san: Seems cute and is it bad that I can enjoy lewd humor? Maybe it's cause of was how I was raised...
Donten ni Warau: Wish I could see the PV...
F/SN: Unlimited Blade Works: Adding to my list of Fate/Stay things I need to watch...
Gugure!Kokkuri-san: This actually looks strangely cute...
Hitsugi no Chaika-Avenging Battle: Hmm. This made me interested in watching season 1 now.
Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu: Um. Looks weird. Different. Might be good.
Log Horizon Season 2: Need to watch season 1 first.
Magic Kaito: Sounds fun.
Mushi-shi Zoku Shou 2: *Needs to watch the rest first*
Nanatsu no Taizai: Oh! I've heard of the manga for the one. Might check it out.
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji: I've heard of the manga for this one too. It's a shoujo and they usually turn out fairly well. Might watch.
Orenchi no Furo Jiyou: I've heard other people talking about this. Don't worry. It's not a yaoi. Mostly a comedy where the mermaid guy drives the other guy crazy. Will probably watch.
Psycho-Pass Season 2: Once again, I need season 1 first.
Sanzoku no Musume Ronja: Not a fan of the CG but it seems cute and i'm loving the Studio Ghibli vibe.
Selector Spread WIXOSS: Season 1 first.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso: I'm really loving the story idea and I'm already prepared for feels.
Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis: Beautiful. Probably a crappy story. I'll watch for the visuals though if nothing else.
SHIROBAKO: An anime about anime and not just that, but a P.A. Works show that's more comedy than drama? Might be interested.
Sora no Method: Seems cute with plenty of feels.
Terra Formars: I've heard of the manga for this too and didn't realize it getting an adaption. Will probably watch because of AoT vibes. Also, did anyone else notice, 'Terror From Mars'? ;)
Yowamushi Pedal S2: Need first season.

So. I'm not really sure what I'll end up narrowing it down to just yet. Hee. hee.

Thanks, that was interesting. I was sure I was seeing hype in the "wrong" places, and missing where it really is.

@GeneD, if you can wait long enough, I recommend watching this->Heaven's Feel (which could take years...)->Fate/Zero as that is the intended order of plot/information acquirement whereas basically any other anime-only person has already had everything spoiled via F/Z. To clarify, do you mean watch: Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works then Heaven's Feel then Fate/Zero or just Heaven's Feel then Fate/Zero? At the moment I'm pretty much 100% neutral on Fate/Things so I don't mind waiting years.

Aaaand looks like I'll have to add Grisaia no Kajitsu, Gundam: G no Reconguista (I'm SO behind on everything Gundam though T_T) and Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso to the list, for first episode watch at least.

Sorry for the ambiguity. I meant Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works then the Heaven's Feel movie(s), which is where all the waiting will be, and then Fate/Zero.

I've been fairly apathetic toward anime for the last few years, but I will be at least starting (meaning I might get 30 seconds in, then turn it off) a good bunch of them for this season. 'Cause...why not?

Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo - I am expecting a degree of fanservice with this, which right now I have a rock-bottom tolerance rate for. So we'll see. But it sounds like it could be enjoyable.
Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works - This is probably the only franchise I keep up with anime-wise. So I'll give this a shot. I really dislike Rin though.
Garo: Honoo no Kokuin - Gonna try this too...but not expecting to make it through the first episode.
Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de - Curious about this...but again, not expecting much.
Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu - I like sci-fi. I like horror. I like psychological thrillers...and it's not shounen. So I'm hoping for this to be intelligent and way fun instead of irritating slapstick silliness.
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji - I'll try this exclusively because it reminds me the smallest bit of Maid-Sama! which I adored. But I'm not expecting much from this either.
Ore, Twintails ni Narimasu. - Maybe.
Orenchi no Furo Jijou - Expecting this to be more uncomfortable than funny, but going to try it.
Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis - ...no real idea what this is? But it looks shiny, so...
Terra Formars - Yep. Again, not expecting much at all, but I'm going to give it a shot.
World Trigger - I have weirdly less cynical expectations for this. It looks like fun.

I decided to go ahead and put a TON on my list because more than likely I'll end up dropping all but, like, one or two of them optimistically... but I did find a series I ADORED last season, so I have hope for this season too. :D

Will Give it a Shot:

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso - I love music. And piano.
Amagi Brilliant Park - Because KyoAni. Honestly I don't expect much out of it though.

Misc:

Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji - I actually read a good chunk of the manga at one point. It was a pretty average shoujo and I think I dropped it ultimately. Might be worth it to someone who's more about shoujo than I am. I'll pass.
Fate/Stay Night: UBL - I would watch it if I saw or was more into this franchise. Maybe in the future, but I'll pass.
Mushishi Zoku Shou 2: I still need to catch up on the other new stuff. Will watch eventually.

If I see anything else people are liking after the season starts I may pick it up partway through like Gekkan Shoujo last season.

Has anyone started watching yet? Does anyone want to recommend something yet? On the one hand since I can only do a few shows for now, I don't want to watch a bunch of first eps like I thought I would, but on the other hand since there's so much to choose from I don't know where to start.

@GeneD: I have started watching, I was just waiting for a few more episodes to come in before I posted.

Recommend:
Fate/stay night: unlimited blade works: amazing... good setup, good characters (since rin is main instead of emiya), probably better than fate/zero
Magic Kaito 1412: good characters, good animation, great show

Recommend if you have time:
Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken: kinda lewd, but funny
Akatsuki no Yona: good setup, okay characters, terrible plot twist
Grisaia no Kajitsu: good setup, good characters, too much fanservice

Don't recommend:
Amagi Brilliant Park: Bland anime, with bland characters with magic
Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de: okay setup, bland characters.
Log Horizon 2: decent setup, worse animation and art than the first
Donten ni Warau: Interesting setup, bland characters.
Orenchi no Furo Jijou: alright show, not really funny though
Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete: Terrible show, terrible character design, terrible characters, might give one more episode.

Oh, I'm late for this.
Huh, second season in a row to produce a whole bunch of anime that don't even remotely interest me. Which is fine, because I don't have time to add more to my already enormous list. So I guess I'll go back to watching things people keep bugging me to watch.

UBW is the only show I'd recommend so far based off first episodes, though plenty of stuff hasn't even aired yet.
drill wrote:Fate/stay night: unlimited blade works: amazing... good setup, good characters (since rin is main instead of emiya), probably better than fate/zero

Rin is certainly focused on a lot more because it's not Fate route, but Shirou is still the main character. Episode0 is the prologue, which is from Rin's pov, but it switches back to Shirou's for the majority of the story. Better than F/Z is debatable, but in the sense of what you prefer out of a story. Fight scenes will be better for sure.

Grisaia had a surprisingly really good first episode, mostly. Big problems were excess fanservice and foreshadowing. Hopefully they tone down the former, but otherwise, can't blame you for not watching. As for the latter, I guess they want to draw in anime-only viewers who don't want generic harem...despite the fanservice >_>

Denki-Gai no Honya-san was pretty underwhelming.

Danna ga Nani is literally just otaku references every 5 seconds. The Nanoha was a nice touch with Yukarin.

Akatsuki no Yona looks to be a nice adaptation. Can't say I'd rec it based off the manga, but it's not bad. Btw, I don't think the premise of a story should be considered a plot twist.

Amagi is full of wonderful FMP tears. More than I expected, actually. To be serious, jokes aren't bad, but plot sucks, so it's a matter of which they focus on.

Gundam is gundam, pretty sure people already have their opinions on the franchise.

Sora no Method is obviously supernatural drama now. Expecting a lot of drama. Could be good or bad, but I once again point to Kanon and Sola as indicators due to same writer.

Sequels are sequels, don't think there's much to say. Log Horizon looks worse because the studio switched to Deen.

Also Terra Formars is so amazingly terrible that even if you choose to watch it, you just get a black screen due to censorship. I think only Deadman Wonderland is comparable, but I dropped both so fast, I can't really say \o/

I had a feeling that was going to happen, kinda wish they would just do the whole season with rin as the main character though. Either way, the fight scenes are still amazing.

Well, here are my thoughts on the first three Fall shows I'm watching (the other two that I'm planning on watching will be added next week :) )...

Gugure! Kokkuri-san episode 1:

Hmm... well, I decided to go ahead and watch the premiere of this series. Contrasted with my expectations, though, it was never hilarious-- in fact, it never really got above 'mildly amusing'-- and it was slightly weird, besides. That said, it wasn't actually *bad,* either. The MC being so deadpan (nearly) all the time is rather unusual for a female character, so I liked that fact, SPOILER: Highlight text to read: and her tears at the end-- and that they were actually somewhat effective on the viewer-- were a pleasant surprise, but ATM this certainly isn't something I'd prioritize to watch. In fact, if it doesn't pick up in the next ep. or two, I'm going to put it on long-term/indefinite hold, since ATM I don't really have time to watch shows I'm not actively liking (even if I'm not actively *dis*liking them, either :) ). *shrug*

When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace (which is now apparently the new English title for the Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de series :) ) episode 1:

This, on the other hand, was *exactly* what I was expecting, based on the descriptions of it that were given before it aired  -- and I quite enjoyed it. :thumb: I'm fully expecting that there'll be SPOILER: Highlight text to read: some real threat they'll have to use their powers against eventually, whether or not the suspicious-looking character introduced at the end of the ep. has anything to do with that, but either way, I'm liking it, so this one'll stay. :)

And Amagi Brilliant Park episode 1:

I also quite enjoyed this, LOL. For one thing, the dialogue and the personalities/attitudes/reactions of the main characters were all pretty amusing (I LOL'd multiple times  ); and for another, I was pleasantly surprised at both SPOILER: Highlight text to read: the MC having been a child actor-- which adds a nice little wrinkle to him-- and, especially, SPOILER: Highlight text to read: that there is an actual fantasy/magic element (!), which I was definitely *not* expecting. Looking forward to more lulz + seeing where this goes! :thumb:
Saved by grace.

I know Shirou is a pain to deal with so I understand your point, but that wouldn't really work, especially for UBW, since the whole point is how resolved Shirou is in his stupidity (I know this sounds dumb but it makes sense in the context of the actual plot which I'm avoiding). Basically, making Rin the main would forego many things FSN is trying to portray.

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso 1: I really enjoyed this. A very promising start. Love the friendship between the main characters. Cute OP duet too. Also makes me want to try melodica at some point.

Amagi Brilliant Park 1: Ehhh. It's alright. I got a chuckle or two out of it (Mice killing and Moffle was the best part), but the premise seems so forced and the characters are rather inaccessible. I'll attempt to follow it, but if I end up not keeping up it wouldn't be a surprise.

Okay so these are what I've picked for now. Along with 2 x Sailor Moon, it's all I can cover till about middle Nov. I plan to catch up on everything else after than so hold me to it.

Grisaia no Kajitsu ep 1 - 2: Random thoughts
SPOILER: Highlight text to read: Seems intriguing so far.
It has a Bakemonogatari feel to it. Not least because of the character look-a-likes and personalities.
A huge school for only 6 students bugs the heck out of my third world sensibilities. No, give them a one-room shed somewhere and fill the place to it's proper capacity. >:/
You weren't kidding about the fanservice, for male and female audiences.
I hope that visit from the blonde has a proper purpose otherwise it's just annoyingly random, nice car though.
I hope the "trying to stab the MC" thing is over now because I found it rather silly.
I hope "blonde tsundere gets called on tsundere things" also goes away soon.
I was thinking I would like to see more interaction of the girls amongst themselves, then kinda got that in the ED.

Fate/stay night UBW prologue + ep 1: SPOILER: Highlight text to read: Mmm, so far I like Rin alone of the human characters, so hopefully that changes soon. Oh and that one girl who looks like Kara no Kyoukai's Shiki with brown hair. PurpleHair-kun was getting on my nerves 2 minutes into the episode and the "humour" with the teacher/landlord's daughter? was just tedious.
Gas leaks in another city and a murder has everyone very paranoid, enough to "send students home early", is it sad that this is funny to me?

I'm enjoying the feeling of basically knowing nothing about this franchise and am going to try my best to avoid spoilers from previous works.

Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road ep 1 - 2: Aaw I just couldn't stay away. (Listening to Hime Hime on repeat right now.) Not much to say here except it's more of the same cycling anime fun, literally starting form where the first season ended.
SPOILER: Highlight text to read: I'm expecting them to make 300 meters last the whole 25 minutes next week. As much as I wasn't a fan of Midousuji, I can't help but admit he's the most interesting and dynamic of the trio racing toward the finish line right now and the scene where he criticises a random bystander for a shallow comment was great. He's backstory seems to be coming next week, which might be more interesting than what we got for almost all of Hakone last season. Watermelon and Spider Toast end scenes are the best.

I was gonna watch just the first ep of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, but made myself stop cause I know if I kept watching I'd stick with it for good.

Rich people. The end.
Fate/stay night UBW prologue + ep 1: SPOILER: Highlight text to read: Gas leaks in another city and a murder has everyone very paranoid, enough to "send students home early", is it sad that this is funny to me?

SPOILER: Highlight text to read: Depends if you still find it funny that in Japan, there aren't murders. Only suicides. Okay that was really messed up, but it's true the relative suicide to homicide rate in Japan is probably the highest in the world...Anyway, point being murders are incredibly rare in Japan, and the culprit is not caught, so yes, it's sad that you find a culture with one of the lowest homicide rates in the world to be funny, though culturally speaking, I can't say I blame you.

Shirobako was...actually not bad. Wouldn't say it's good yet but, well, it does look like it plans to portray anime production accurately (as opposed to like, unrelated sol or PA Works drama), so people might find it an interesting watch.

Kiseijuu ended up explaining stuff better than I inferred from the plot. Hopefully this manga reader hype is not fake.

And for some reason the Twintails anime ended up being entertainingly amazing? I don't quite understand. I can't really say I'd recommend it but, I guess it's one of those things you just have to try for yourself; it'll probably be hit or miss. Turns out it's kind of a parody and goes as far as ripping Sailor Moon transformation music (same composer heh) while skipping the actual transformation scene. Some things that may offend people: incredibly large endowed female, who almost got me to drop it before the fun started, a guy transforming into a girl, enemy is basically a lolicon minus any sexual stuff, and a lot of emphasis on hair, as in instead of judging girls by other parts, they are judged by their hair, specifically twintails. All that said, it's clearly meant to be laughed at while I expected some 3rd rate carbon copy ecchi light novel crap that is only laughed at in sadness.

Akatsuki no Yona - Seen the first episode and might try to keep up with it to the best of my ability. I saw that some of the staff came from the Hakuoki anime. If that's the case, boy are we in for a treat (hopefully!). Also, that plot twist was just so great! ...I'm exaggerating. As a joke, it definitely was great though. SPOILER: Highlight text to read: Also, I'm glad that her hair is not going to be an issue anymore - she wouldn't stop whining about it.

Wolf Girl and Black Prince - Not as good as Blue Spring Ride, but it may be needed to fill that hole.

I have exams coming up, but I should hopefully get around to Fate/Stay Night, Psycho Pass, Log Horizon, Your Lie in April... forget it. The list is way too long, and I still haven't mentioned half the ones I hope to watch or need to finish. Why does this have to be the season of hype?

Anybody seen Sanzoku no Musume Ronja yet? It got some excitement because Ghibli, was unexpectedly CGI, and is now a tough show to get ahold of for some reason.
