Old news, but I don't know if it was ever posted here so here's an update to that Iron Man anime... thing. Although it's directed by Hiroshi Hamazaki, the story is still done by Marvel so... I'm cautiously optimistic?

Personal thoughts:

Well, trailer looks like they simplified the character designs and the animation doesn't even look that great, almost as if this project was on the back-burner for a couple of years and given a threadbare budget to work with, which is kind of strange given the huge undertakings the rest of the animated metaseries involved. Show really looks strange now, now. Thanks, I.G., thanks Shirow

By "thanks" I mean "what the heck are you doing" ;____;

Most of this is from the fact that Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex was one of my first anime.

I thought Chuu2Koi was pretty good before the ending but there really isn't that much left to do with it as far as I can tell aside from OVA specials. That, and I'd much rather a Hyouka movie or moe swimmers or a different original project.

This is a good point, though-- if I had the choice, I'd also go with those (...ugh, actually I had forgotten just how much I'd wanted a Hyouka movie until that reminder -- and I was kinda interested in the swimming one, too. And, quite frankly, I wish they'd animate some more Haruhi, as well). However, since I unfortunately don't have the choice , and I happened to enjoy Chu2 quite a bit, I'll gladly watch some more of it (as long as it's at least as good as season 1).

Actually, has there been any confirmation that the trailer is for a second season? I mean, that's likely what it is, but it could also be a trailer for the OVA in June, or for another one entirely. I mean, I could be wrong, but I don't think there has been any official confirmation yet.

Although, Kyoani has stated on their website they are going to reveal officially what the trailer means very soon.
