My dad's eye

Postby syphon » Fri Jan 25, 2013 8:45 pm

I don't know the details because I'm with my mom right now (my parents are divorced). But I heard my dad could go blind in one eye. Something to do with his retina detatching itself in his eye. He's had cataract surgery too, not to long ago so im wondering if it's related to what's happing eye right now, like a side effect or something. So I thought I'd ask for your prayers that his eye heals. Thank you :)

Praying.

A detatched retina is very much a serious thing - if not treated quickly it can cause blindness. It's possible that it's related to the cataract surgery, it is a complication of it (rare complication that doesn't happen to everyone! But still one that's recorded), but correlation does not imply causation. Either way, if you have a good relationship with your dad, it's worth it to call and tell him you're rooting for him to get better.

Praise the Lord!

Glad to hear he recovered with no lasting negative effect. :)
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
