I got Twilight, but I think the real reason most of us are getting her isn't because we're actually like her, but because of the extremely narrow options presented. Like, most guys aren't going to choose "wearing pretty dresses" as a way to spend time, and for most of them the option wasn't so much "Man that's totally me!" as more of a "Well I guess if these are my only options this one is probably more likely than the others."

I'd say they definately got Pinky and Rarity, not sure about Twilight or Rainbow Dash. ^^; But its a LOT better.

Is it possible we could get a review written from a CAA perspective for the first season sometime in the future? It's OK if it doesn't actually go in the reviews section... seeing as how its not classified as "anime" (to my knowledge)... just a thought...

I could do it, though yeah, it wouldn't be put in the anime review section.

I don't really see a need for it, however. North American children's shows are vastly different from Japanese children's shows, which is why there's an anime review system in the first place. Stuff like One Piece and Bleach is meant for young children in Japan, but since television standards here in the US differ, it means that a ratings system is necessary so that you can tell people who don't wish to see nudity in their entertainment "Yeah there's totally a scene of Rangiku's butt in the Bleach manga."

My Little Pony, being both a North American children's show AND containing ponies really doesn't need a review, because you know you're not gonna see nudity or violence or foul language. It just seems extremely pointless to write a content review.

Unless of course you meant like a "Is this show good or not?" type review, like a four star review of it or something. In which case, I don't think we need one of those either. The show is pretty awesome, there's been a ton of glowing praise throughout this thread for the show. :p

Actually technically wouldn't the "nudity" scale for MLP:FiM technically be like a 9 or 10? As Applejack said in "The Best Night Ever," they don't normally wear clothes. Meaning they're almost always naked.

Hurr hurr, Nate... perhaps, but I highly doubt anyone who watches the show is offended by that possibility, even if it crosses their minds. In fact, it reminds me of Sam the Eagle on the Muppet Show making a case against animal nudity... and then realizing he himself was naked (thus leading to an exit-stage-right). So yeah, I don't think its a big problem really.

I did realize one thing last night though, thinking about the fandom of the show and talking with another fan about it: God is using this show to teach some of us lessons about life and the Gospel. Think about it. One of the memes (language slightly altered here) that's come out of the fandom for MLP is "I'm gonna love and tolerate the heck out of you." I think its great that this attitude has been growing among the fanbase towards non-fans of it, and towards people who don't like them in general. And I think that, while MLP takes that stance withOUT the gospel, Christ definitely calls us to it WITH the gospel, and in loving others/sharing the good news about him with them. The more christians that realize this, the better, in my opinion. This sort of attitude can, and has, and is still, changing the world around us, even while so many bad things are happening.
