Joseph and Rio got out of the car as it drove away the old comic book shop guy waved goodbye."You sure about this?"asked Rio worried about his extremely simplistic partner."Im serious about this Rio lets remember our goal.Flying types at Flight city North Carolina,Grass types at Alaska's Bounty Alaska,Water types at Wash city in California,Eletric types at Neon city I think its a casino in Vegas,Fire types at Sunshine city in Hawaii,Poison types at Isle city New York,Fighting types in Texas at U.S city,and Psychic types at the gym in Washington D.C.How hard can it be?"Joseph smiled.Being a pokemon fan before the Event he knew everything about them every trick in the book."Ok first we need to go...to Flight city since we are in south carolina we out to go...north?"said joseph just realizing they had no compass or map."YOUR SAYING WE HAVE NO WAY OF TELLING WHERE NORTH CAROLINA IS?!"screamed Rio."What about a compass or a map!?" "I sorta forgot...look we just follow this road into the next town and hope no gangs are there.There is a pokemon center every 3 cities or so..."said Joseph pondering the situation he was in."Well lets go."and they started walking.

Athena was sitting in a tree, her back to the truck and her cap pulled low over her head. Her Pichu Bolt was in her lap, snoozing. Glancing down Athena noticed another boy with a Riolu. They seemed to be talking about trying to get to North Carolina. Athena watched them quietly. She didn't feel like speaking up because she was always tired of everyone mistaking her for a boy, with her short hair and boyish clothes and all.

"I sorta forgot...look we just follow this road into the next town and hope no gangs are there.There is a pokemon center every 3 cities or so..."said Joseph pondering the situation he was in."Well lets go."and they started walking.

Ion stared at the horizon, ready to take it on whatever came as if it was his. sifter stood silently next to his master as they watched the sun rise together. "Today Dawn's a new day Sifter. A new adventure. A new Da' tour family to rise up through a new form of crime syndicate, and a new substance urging us to find it.... This will be the start of our lives sifter."

sifter was saddened at the thought and looked off to the side, looking very distant.

Ion oblivious to his friend's troubles, turned around to grab his bag. Pulling out a small black sleek object from his bag with his left hand. he slide the screen up to display a small pad. He slide his thumb up and down the pad as the screen zoomed in and out of various locations.

Ion then sighed a bit "There's one thing i will say though. It's definately going to be tiresome. Looks like your gonna need some back up. Flight city is the first stop in our investigation... Mostly flying types."

Sifter looked back up at him and nodded, softly smiling to hide his troubles.

Ion slipped the device into his pocket, and then stuck his left arm under the other strap of his bag. He picked up his other bag, containing a few comics and manga from the old comic store a ways back. "There's a biker gang near there Father used to know. The leader there loves some good old comics and manga. We could use these as a peace offering for safe passage... "he touted as he turned he turned to the figured of a young man. "So... are you ready Ezio?"

Sifter jumped and waved happily at the Rio, happy to have met someone new, even if it was from a distance.

Ion stared at the group and smiled and waved then turned back to the road. We better keep a low profile the less people know about us the better. he thought.

"Sifter, come along. we need to hurry." Ion

Sifter scampered up Ion's body onto his shoulder. He looked back at the group longingly, wondering when will he finally be able to play for the first time.

Athena had bristled slightly when she hard the Riolu call her a boy. When the guy who owned it accused her of staring, then challenging her to a battle, she looked at him in an annoyed way. "I wasn't staring, I was watching you. Big difference. But if you insist on making a big deal about it, then I accept your challenge." She whispered to Bolt, who immediately woke up, then jumped out of her lap and onto the ground. "Ok, let's win this!" he said, lashing his pointed tail in an attempt to be antimidating, but only managed to look more adorable. Athena jumped out of the tree, her cap still pulled low. "Trying to be intimidating won't get you very far." she said to Bolt. "Your just saying that!" pouted Bolt. "No, I mean it Bolt." replied Athena.

"Your bond with your pichu Bolt must be strong if you can understand him.Okay I never hold back so lets do this 1 on 1.My Riolu vs your Pichu.Ok Rio lets do this." Rio and Joseph walked away to give them space.Okay ready...go!Rio use quick attack 12!" Rio rushed behind pichu sucker punching him with a 1,2 punch combo then jumped into the tree."Heh...I understand your plan." Joseph muttered to himself.He nodded to Rio who stared at Bolt with intense focus."By the way I should point out we are undefeated.Just to let you know." Joseph smiled warmly at the two.It was to psych them out.But he was truely happy to meet someone who loved their pokemon because the only way to talk to pokemon is to bond with them to a great point.

Athena winced slightly at the blow. She noticed that Bolt had stumbled back a few steps at the attack, but otherwise hadn't been hurt too badly. "Ok Bolt, time for a thunder shock." Bolt nodded, but stayed still for a moment. Suddenly he whirled around and shot a well aimed lightning bolt at the Riolu, which hit him square in the chest. Athena nodded approvingly with a smile. "Your aim has improved Bolt."

Ooc: sorry guys but hey, atleast im posting now

IC: Letting out a soft yawn as he stretched his limbs as far as he could, this wasn't the best of motels they had stayed at. The food wasn't all that bad but they really had to do something about those beds, Ezio was seriously considered taking of all the covers and sleeping on the carpet, though this wasn't onr of those places you would call exceptionally clean. He just decided it was better to deal with a temporary sore back in the morning than something that would affect him much more long term.

Glancing out the window, Ez groaned lowly as not to disturb his peacefully asleep trapinch. Stroking her as he blinked once, twice, a few more times before rubbing his eyes together, it was early, WAY too early. Why did Ion force him to get up so early that morning? Sure they had to get to the next town but this was just ridiculous. Mornings were for sleeping in, not waking up early but that was enough whining, he was up and there was no chance of falling asleep again.

Washing his face, getting dressed and fixing himself a coffee all the while Dust just slept without a care on top of the bed. He would only wake her when they needed to go or there was an emergency.

15 minutes later he was out and about with a half awake trapinch trailling slowly with a dazed look on its face. Dust would get her trainer back for waking her so early, she was still tired! Seriously, 8 hours sleep was never enough.

"Morning" Ez let out in a half yawn as he met up with Ion and his Sandshrew. How they looked so awake at this hour continued to baffle him dispite the years he's known and been travelling with him. It felt like it was yesterday that he had just snuck out and started his own journey, several months went by in a flash, excuse the cliche. After a few moments of silence and admiration for the mesmerising view a rising sun brought with it, the duo trainers and their ground types were ready to go.

"Si Io, do you really gotta ask? Flight City next stop. Heard there were a few swablu roaming around that area, gitta catch one whilst we're at it right?" Ez let out after a few more stretches, and he was off.

OOC: ok I'm just gonna skip here a luttle since I have no idea where we are where the others are where they are battling and all that

IC: "Do you know em?" asked a confused Ezio in reference to a Riolu and its trainer who looked all to ready to battle another trainer and their Pichu. Two young trainers who both thought they're all that, like most kids of the generation he assumed, it got annoying after awhile. This just all but strengthened his conviction about the government bumping up the legal age for trainers, really, he felt that even 13 year olds should have pokemon yet, especially not whilst they were in 'that' stage.

"Urgh, once Dust fully evolves, traveling will be soo much easier" Ez let out softly in slight frustration, albeit a little randomly. "How much further Io? These kids are a little over-confident for my taste."

OOC: ok that took longer on phone that I thought it would, think I've mentioned everything, i dunno if this is short or too long for you guys, skimmed it down a lot more than what I could type and wanted to post xD. Sorry for any grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.

Rio was stunned more then he thought he would be but decided to let himself fall dead weight like he wa fainted until he landed with a powerful slam on pichus head with his own.(no he does not know headbutt.)It could be seen in bolt's body that it shook him."Judo headthrow!"Shouted Joseph!Rio grabbed Bolt's head and threw him into the tree."Rio distance yourself!"Rio jumped to Joseph and said"Wow he is tough that normally has more effect.That thundershock was weak though...think he knows volt tackle?" "If she turns this into a fistfight we can end it rather quickly...if she tries volt tackle...well you know what comes after a powerful melee attack."Joseph smirked.Rio got into a defensive martial art stance."Recoil."said Rio quite bluntly.(p.s unless she can read lips she can't understand what they said.)

Athena's face took on a pained look, almost as if she felt Bolt's pain as well. Bolt slid down from the tree, and stood up, tottering slightly because he was dizzy from the blow. "Can you go on?" asked Athena. Bolt recovered, then said "Of course! One pound into a tree won't stop me!" Athena smiled. "Then how about a Charge Beam?" she asked. "Fine by me!" said Bolt. He charged up, then fired a beam of lightning at the riolu, hitting him head on.

"Heh....Hey you know how I win?I always get those idiots who think im too young.I played every game and watched every episode.First it starts with my fake cockyness.Then they try to end me in one blow and add insult to injury then I pull my trick.Rio has been through more endurance training then the basic marine.Or they start actually fighting me and while Rio dodges and drains them then when they are using the last attack their most powerful we use the trick.Endure."Rio's arms and paws began to glow."Then we end them one hit k.o....REVERSAL!"Rio runs and slams Bolt into the ground causing a small vibration felt by anyone in the surrounding area.Rio gets up and walks back."Tell her that her pichu is weakened.If she lets him fight its not gonna be pretty." "Rio says he didn't damage Bolt enough to hurt him bad but you should keep him down."Tell her the truth about our battle." "That was the hardest battle we ever did.You didn't hold back and you lasted longer.You also got the first unplanned hit on us ever and it hurt him...bad.I hope we meet again.Bolt should be fine with rest.By the way...don't hide your face...its not good to do it..."He ran away very fast.Rio just stared then ran after him with a"What was THAT?"He caught up."I saw a pawniard that way."He pointed and riolu followed into the nearby forest."Right."Rio nodded.

Athena ran to Bolt, who was lying on the ground, and picked him up. "I'm so sorry...I failed..." said Bolt, a tear trickling down one of his eyes. "No you didn't...you gave it your best. And that makes you a winner." Athena whispered. Bolt smiled. Then he reached up and hugged Athena.

" Ion turned toward the battle as stray beams from the Charge beam came right toward them. "Ez watch out!" Ion pushed him and Dust out of the way as the beam skitted right by his calf synging it. X(

Sifter turned and ran toward the battle enraged but stopped when it heard Ion's voice.

"Sifter Stop!"

it screeched to a halt as burning cedar fell before it. It looked wonderingly at the cedar, but it's wonderous expression quickly turned to terror as it turned back... The Beam had started a Small Brushfire. Pokemon of all shapes scampered and fluttered from the forest, trying to escape the fire.

"Oh no! The pokemon! Sifter use a sandstorm to put out that fire!" Ion shouted. Narrowing his eyes to not be blinded he noticed a small skarmory, ko'd on the floor. A tree near it creaked and snapped as the fire burnt it and the winds and sand smashed against it, falling, threatening to crush the small, metallic, bird. Ion ran as fast as he could baseball sliding as he snatched the from under the tree.

The fire finally out, He looked about the scene. We'll a portion of the forest is burnt and some trees are knocked down, but at least a majority of the forest is safe. He watched his step escaping the forest, seeing the sense of loss from the pokemon who lived in that portion. A family of rattata came to him and presented him with berries to heal the injured skamory, now in his arms.

"Thank you. You are very kind." he responded.

He noticed a sense of gratitude coming from them as they scampered back.

Ion almost lost his footing when..

"Then we end them one hit k.o....REVERSAL!"Rio runs and slams Bolt into the ground causing a small vibration felt by anyone in the surrounding area."

the whole ground quaked . Nothing big, but big enough to ...tick...him...off. Ion and sifter now walked toward the battled enfuriated. "I've been burned... Electricuted...and covered in sand in a matter of minutes, and these kids STILL don't notice what their doing to their surroundings..." he angrily mumbled to sifter. Ezio was right. Some kids aren't mature enough for power like this...

He heard what the boy said and watch him run off as he walked. I don't have the time to waist on jerks like that. Still holding the injured skarmory in his arms. He proceed to walk toward the girl. He wished to be angry, but he couldn't help it, his heartmelted at what she said..

Ion spoke softly "I didn't see the fight, but that was one heck of a Charge Beam and to teach to such a young pokemon. You've got talent." he said as he complimented her. he bent down to Bolt's level. "Good shot. but next time constrict the shot to a smaller diameter. It'll give a much stronger punch. Also.. " Ion pointed to his burnt his burnt calf "...there won't be as many casualties." he said jokingly. Ion got up and presented his hand. "Hi.. I'm Ion and this is Sifter."

Ezio just stared at the Riolu's trainer in disbelief, shock, and just generally all around confused. He wasn't all that sure what to make of him. Kids like that he really disliked yet he had the distinct feeling he would be seeing him again, like it was already decided by a higher power or something.

Shaking his head as his mind snapped back to earth, he quickly followed after Ion who was now talking to the defeated trainer, Dust not too far behind him. "Didn't know you were such a softie Io, now are you going to catch that skarmory or rush off to the nearest PokeCenter all Ash Ketchum style?" he asked as he turned back to look at the damage cause by the battle and specifically, the little Pichu's attack. "Tsch. Just even the smallest of sparks" he mumbled as a few more pokemon scampered around, dazed and confused but grateful that the fire was extinguished at least. Sifter's sandstorm and Dust's sand-attacks and mud shots enough to extinguish it.

"Now do you see where I get my point of few Io, and that other kid didn't even care about the forest." Ez sighed at the tragic scene before him. "We'd better get some help here treating the injuries, I'll search for the nearest pokecenter, boy with the Pichu, forget the battle, it's in the past and now you have to deal with he present's consequences." He stated, not realizing the mistake of gender he made.

Reaching into his pocket, Ez pulled out a sleek, black device with a silver tribal wing design on its back. As he pressed unlock, its screen was almost the same size as the device itself, completely touchscreen. After searching around for a couple of minutes, he found what he wanted, the address to the nearest PokeCenter. "Alright, there's one not to far, 'bout a mile down the path."

"Didn't know you were such a softie Io, now are you going to catch that skarmory or rush off to the nearest PokeCenter all Ash Ketchum style?" he asked as he turned back to look at the damage cause by the battle and specifically, the little Pichu's attack.

Ion stared at Ezio for a second or two before looking about the scenery again. "Ezio, Remember when we used to watch Father work with the sandshrew? He practically slave-drived them. Everytime I saw them, I couldn't help feeling sorry for them. Seeing pain like that, Those are the only times i grow soft, if ever. The pokemon. This Skarmory. They all reminded me of that."

Sifter eyes opened wide at that statement then narrowed as a sliver of a tear only peeked from it's bottom eyelid. He seemed happy.

"Also, catching a skarmory in this state would be weak of me. I can make a splint here and give it the berries the rattata gave me to give it some health again but not until we reach a pokemon center will it be able to revive."

Ion began to make a splint for the bird's right wing.

"Plus,if there is anything we learned from the show it's that befriending a pokemon is better than catching one."

I do, I'm sorry for not seeing it earlier, there indeed are some teens who are mature enough to handle this, and there are many that aren't, but you know what.. with maturity comes experience."

Ion looks to the young girl. "Please don't take this experience negatively. If you learn from it and all the other experiences you'll face on your journey, you'll mature and grow cause of it. Remember these pokemon are not just for our entertainment, they are living beings. We should take care of what we have."

Sifter felt refreshed from Ion spraying the water slightly over Sifters body. He happily absorbed the water through his skin, then hoped in the backpack and peeped it's head out, happily waving to Bolt. "Oh yes Sifter." Ion commented on his little friend's joyfullness. "You are welcome to join us if you wish Ms.... Wait, I didn't catch your name.."

A old shaolin monk looking guy with a bo staff and a blazkin confronted Joseph and Rio in the forest."You did not notice the fire.You lack awareness.You have no idea how hurtful your words are.Therefore you lack social skills." Joseph could tell when someone was talking down on him but this guy sounded like a sage."Who are you?"he asked a little bewildered."Follow this path."He pointed with his staff."When you are finished go to flight city.You will a lesson on the journey that will help you in life.If you need it."He threw a rare sitrus berry at him.Joseph caught it."Wow."He vanished sage style.Rio looked at him."Now what?"Joseph got fire in his heart and ran in the direction he was told.After a ways into the forest he realized they were lost.But before they did anything about it they noticed a pidgey with claw marks on it."Hey are you ok?"Joseph said as he rushed to the pidgey's aid."Im fine."the young pidgey said weakly."It was...the bisharp gang.They stole my berries." "Wow...we can't let them do this!"said Rio.Joseph nodded."Which way?"The pidgey pointed with his wing.Joseph used a potion to heal him before they left.They found a cave.Inside was a long string of passageways.Inside were a whole bunch of pokemon.After walking deep into the cave they realized that the deeper they went the less pokemon they saw."You worthless little pawn!"The Bisharp threw him out of a room in the tunnel.The pawniard looked like he was being beaten."No berries?Didn't want to steal?"The Bisharp walked out with a pawniard posse of three."Eh...come to take our berries?" "No but....im here on...wait why am I here?"

Athena stiffened. "I'm a GIRL." she said coldly, and for a second a slight flicker of blue light was visible, but it hard to see because her cap was still pulled low over her head. Then she realized what the man was saying, and looked at the slightly damaged forest. "Oh my gosh...I-I had no idea!" she cried.

OOC: ok so the feeling im getting from the rp is much more animesque than real-worldesque so I'll try to follow suit but the mental image i got from the burning forest was a little bit more than just slightly damaged but that just may be me and the strange way my mind works.

IC: "Well yeah but that's not exactly what I meant" He replied to Io. He decided to add anything else. He knew how Ion was when he got like that and he was just wasn't in the mood for explanations and further dwelling on the current topic. Bad beds could really make someone grumpy, he was sure a few years were taken off his life just from last night's 'sleep'. His attention quickly shifted to Athena.

Kids these days were a little... strange to Ezio. He was forced to double take another look at Athena. "Tsch. Kids and ambigiouity these days. Whatever, at least choose your emotions and stick with 'em." Ezio let out, frustrated and annoyed. Why he found kids annoying he had no idea. He had absolutely no problems with kids before the age of 7 but after, he wasn't sure, he just couldn't deal with them. Ion was the nice guy of the duo, he could deal with them.

Running a hand through his hair in frustration, Ez bit his tongue from saying anything, he wasn't a complete jerk and bully, at least not knowingly. Seeing the blond, almost white hair strands dangle in front of his eyes, his mind turned back for a moment in remembrance of the first few days into the journey. He originally had black hair, and it was shorter too, but he figured if he changed his appearance, other people wouldn't recognize him, specifically his mum. Deciding to grow out his hair was also part of the decision, though for some reason, his hair took an exceptionally long time to grow. In an instant the memory was over however.

Spotting a Sentret with it's tail trapped underneath a fallen and burnt branch, Ezio lifted it up, feeling his hands warm up considerably as the pokemon was freed and scampered off quickly, to find its family he assumed. It really was tragic the things that happen, it touched him deeply. Where was a Jirachi when you needed one? Cause from experience, shooting stars don't grant wishes.

"Look, there's probably more injured animals around here that need help so let's get to the center, get the nurse and others who are willing to help, cause just personally, that pichu doesn't look as injured as that skarmory and possibly others, Athena was it?" Ezio stated his opinion as he flanced around the forest once more, dropping the burnt branch and wipping his hand against his jeans to get the remaining charcoal and ash of it.

Taking another glance at his phone before pocketing it, Ezio set out towards the PokeCenter. "Do what you will, I'm going to get the nurse, Dust let's go." Ezio called out before breaking into a fast-paced jog, quickly matched by his trapinch.

It was not too long until he reached the PokeCenter and burst through the doors. He had never been so grateful for the PokeCenter boom in the past couple of years. "Nurse! Nurse! There's been a fire in the forest down bout a mile and there's injured pokemon who need help!" Ezio exclaimed in between light panting.

"What!? Where? Lead me, Chansey, Audino, let's go!" The nurse exclaimed in return as she quickly grabbed a whole bunch of medical supplies.

The pawniards rushed Rio but he overpowered them and sent them into the wall causing the walls to shake.The bisharp rushed Rio with metal claw and slashed him into the wall again.The walls shook very hard.

Joseph:Use quick attack!

Rio kicked Bisharp and sent him into the wall again.The walls shook again.

Joseph:Wait a second...this cave is unstable!Im such an idiot thats why its shaking!Rio be careful!Don't hit the walls!

Rio:Wow...its not like him to notice stuff like that....

The bisharp began to charge a dark pulse attack what would destroy the cave if it hit.All the cave pokemon would die.

Joseph:Rio use endure and run into the blasts!

Rio ran in a took all the blasts.

Joseph:Now grab his back and use reversal!

Rio ran behind him and got his back close enough where he could reach around and punch him with reversal.It knocked the wind out of him and he feel with Rio standing on his back.Joseph picked up the pawniard the other pokemon were beating on.They walked out of the cave.Rio told the other pokemon about the battle so they could reclaim their berries.When they got outside Joseph laid the pawniard down and gave him a revive and a potion.That was last of his medicine.

Pawniard:What happened?

Joseph:You got beat bad.

Pawniard:What else?That bisharp always wanted me to steal but when I stood up for myself he attacked me.Hey thanks for everything but I got to go before he wakes up.

Joseph:Hey...can you battle me?

Pawniard:Eh why?

Joseph:So I can catch you!

Pawniard pondered for a sec.

Pawniard:Your on!
Pawniard got into a fighting stance.
Joseph:Rio use quick attack!
Rio rushed pawniard but he counterattacked with slash.
Joseph:Rio 1,2,3!
Rio punched him one two then hooked him.Pawniard got up and attemped a stab.Rio grabbed him and threw him into a nearby rock.Joseph threw a pokeball and it shook 1,2,3...ding!Joseph ran up and picked up the pokeball and sent out the pawniard
Joseph:I shall name you kunai!

He knew how Ion was when he got like that and he was just wasn't in the mood for explanations and further dwelling on the current topic. Bad beds could really make someone grumpy, he was sure a few years were taken off his life just from last night's 'sleep'. His attention quickly shifted to Athena.

Of course, he can see why Ezio thought of him like this. Ion's family encouraged him to have friends. "It let's you know when you've gone too far, and they always help pull you back" his Father always said. But there is a side to Ion's family that a select only a select few have seen, Ezio.

Though Ion's family is very welcoming, their roots date back to earth's earlier forms of organized crime]

Sifte looked empathetically at Bolt. He's seen those guilty eyes on Ion just a moment before.

"Back at home, Ion's father forced us to do things that were rather... harsh. For along time I was angry at him and his father, but when he said what he said just now, I realized something.. kinda clice, but.. everyone makes mistakes. They might not see it at the moment but when the big reveal comes, most are regretful. I think I'm learning to forgive them now. His father doesn't see it yet, but that doesn't mean I can't forgive him. and the same goes for you. Don't worry, everyone makes mistakes. Don't be down. Like Ion said learn from this and you'll be better because of it. Now. let's turn that frown upside down ." Sifter jumped into Ion's backpack completely dissapearing for a bit. the backpack wiggled and tussled until sifter poped his head back out the front pocket. Pulling out a small muffin he tossed it to Bolt. "Here! try this! I bet you'll love it! I made it myself.

Ion turned back to Athena. "Hurry quickly you don't want to be left behind. Time is of the essence." he pointed out without looking back. He wondered what Sifter was saying. He never really learned to understand exactly, but he always could tell what his other friend was feeling. "If you wish to stay and get bolt checked on then I understand Ms.Athena, but I think it'd be wise to come with us and help I'm sure the pokemon that live there will be more than understanding if they see you helping us." He stated.

it's in. Here is my insurance card. Any forms to fill I'll fill when I return. Please take good care of him. Thank you!" He exclaimed followed by a gasp for breath.

Ion rushed outside catching up to Ezio when a group of surly, Rugged looking men surrounded him. A man whose crimson hair grew to his shoulders, and beard masked the lower portion of his face, positioned himself in front of Ion, blocking Ion's view with his massive girth. Removing his Aviator glasses and placing them in the front pocket of his leather jacket, He stared at Ion for a mili-second before speaking to him.

"Long time no see Ion. Where's the parcel?" he asked impatiently.

"Ray, I don't have time for this right now. I'll bring it to you. Here, I brought these comics from the comic shop down the road." Ion touted. He pat the man's shoulder as he tried to get around his huge body, which seemed to not want to budge.

"You just don't understand how much I hate to wait do you?" The man said angrily.

"EITHER YOU WAIT, OR YOU DON'T GET IT AT ALL!" Ion yelled.

Some of the men around him were a bit taken back at the stance Ion took with their leader. Even in an emergency, Ion was not about to back down... If you let them see you as weak they'll attempt to trampel you.

The man gazed Ion down for a moment then slowly side stepped. Ion walked through the group who were simultaniously tossing insults at him and asking their leader if he's gonna take that from him.

Ion began to run, seeing Ezio and the rest of the group already was far in the distance. Leaving a group of bewildered men with a leader watching them with very angry eyes as Ion caught up to them.

OOC: ok so the feeling im getting from the rp is much more animesque than real-worldesque so I'll try to follow suit but the mental image i got from the burning forest was a little bit more than just slightly damaged but that just may be me and the strange way my mind works.

OOC: It's not really slightly damaged, It's just because of the quick reaction time our characters took to taking it out, it's alot better than it could have been. The portion that the fire hit is ravaged, but luckily the Majority of the portion remained. Think of it this way, it could be 10% of the forest that was burnt,25%, or 49% of the forest and it would be still considered that the majority of the forest was saved so we still have alot of space to stretch our literary creativity here. There's much that can be done with this.

sorry we're starting this a bit slowly. I promise we'll get into the deeper more mature stuff when we get more into the rp, but you can't hit the ground running without well developed characters so lets give us a bit of time.

Drake and her Dratini Ryu looked around at the happenings going on around them. they looked at each other and decided to follow the boy the others had called "Ezio" She looked at her Dratini again and thought for a moment about how she and Ryu had met... She had found her Dratini in the forest as an abandoned egg. It took a long time for Ryu to trust her cause the people who had abandoned her nearly killed her by breaking her egg. She stopped reminicising when she bumped directly into Ion and fell on her butt. Ryu and her landing directly in the dust "I am so sorry!" She let her hair fall in her face and looked down at the ground... She always did that when she ran into new people... A habit of her days of being at the orphanage.

It was at this time joseph and his rested pokemon went to the gym...Rio noticed a motorcycle in front in a "reserved for gym leader" space.It looked familar...

Kunai:Come on!Rio!I wanna get this over with!

Rio:Hey you ok?Its your first battle.

Kunai:Heh n..no...w..why would I be nervous?

Joseph:So you know:slash,assurance,scary face,and metal claw...ok we can work with this...

Rio:Hey does something seem off about this place?Like...off.

Joseph:Yeah...the leader is out.Hey...look the gym field has fans and...shock absorbers?That's odd.

Joseph took a seat for the gym leader to arrive.

Rio:Hmmm....

When Ion ran out, she dashed after him, and was also surrounded by several of the men. What's going on? She thought. She listened quietly to the conversation that went on. She liked how Ion stood up to the leader. Then the other guys parted to let them through, she dashed after Ion.

Ion was hoping no one saw that little scuffle with the Bloodwater gang back there. The last thing he needed was someone suspicious of his goings on... Of course, his eyballs almost flew out of his head when he saw Athena and another girl come up behind him.

"I apologize for what you had to see back there Ms. Athena... Those men... I kind of know them. Family friends until a few months ago. Don't worry I think we won't see them for a while."

Finally reaching the devastated area. He was finally able to stop and see the breadth of the damage for the first time. It was much larger than expected. Though one can say a majority of the forest was saved, one can also say in the same breathe that the forest cried out in pain that day.

Seeing pokemon laying on the ground, and some searching for families, Ion couldn't help but be moved to action and then...

"Ugh!" Ion feel to the ground with a thud and the bag containing Sifter flew into the air. Sifter slipping himself out, front flipped and land on his hind legs before running back to Ion to help him up. Ion turned about, and sitting squarely in front of Ryu, held his calf for a second wincing as the pain from the burn returned. As quick as the pain came it vanished again.

"No, no reason to apologize. I didn't realize my surroundings. I should have paid more attention." Ion reached to push the hair back from Drake's face.
Huh... she looks quite charming now that I can see her face. he thought with a smirk. "I'm Ion. Thank you for coming."

Ion got up and dusted himself off then offered to help Drake to her feet.
Looking around he noticed several small pokemon still trapped under trees and looking for lost family. "Ok come with me girls. I'm gonna need help lifting some of these." he said running to the side of the road to see what he can do.

Sifter ran to the sound of a young zigzagoon cried under the weight of a broken section of a small pine tree. Motioning to Bolt, Ryu, and Dust to come and help, he tried to lift the tree but unable to do so by himself. Waiting for the others he grabbed Ion's bag and grabbed small bottle. Drinking it's contents, he ran to the zigzagoon and started digging around it.

"Please, help me I don't want to die." it cried.

Sifter smiled as he responded. "Don't worry others are on their way."

Athena was silent. Family friends... the phrase made a slight pang in her heart. A small blue light flickered again under her cap. Then the turned her gaze toward the woman who just joined them.

The gang leader told his gang to bring the parcel and the man holding the parcel to the gym for a sort of "lecture" on the importance of on-time delivery with brass knuckles.And pipes.The men began to comb the city.The gang leader went to the gym thinking:"Won't he be surprised.My part time job keeps me connected with clients and some under the table badge selling.Not too shabby if all I have to do is battle occassionaly."He stepped in the gym and saw joseph sitting a chair....he stared for a sec then his eyes turned wide then he was filled with rage."Its you."Joseph became very scared."AHHH!!WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"The man began to chuckle then he said in a scary voice:"Im the gym leader.Surprised?And don't you think we aren't gonna have a rematch.Its on spaz!"
