I am.

Man it took four pages for people to realize I was kidding? How many people actually took it at face value that I was black? Now I know I'm either really trustworthy or nobody reads my posts. XP

I'm another crazy ol' human being with a mostly Irish, Scottish, English & French background.

Also, I think one of my Scottish ancestors (from way back!) was black, so I might have some faint African or something-or-other in me!

(Course, everyone's ultimately decended from Adam & Eve though!;))

nate...you totally should have been all, "ACTUALLY I'M A 13YR OLD GIRL." but i still lol'd at "I'M ACTUALLY A BLACK MAN." XD

me: english, irish, scottish, spanish, & mexican.

grandpa says some french...but grandma would always be all, "PFFT! don't listen to him...he's crazy." and he'd be all, "WOMAN! YOU DON'T KNOW!" and then she'd be all, "DO YOU WANT TO BE HIT WITH THIS SPOON?!" good times. good times.
"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things... hey... the good things don't always soften the bad things; but vice-versa the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant." -11th Doctor

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

Heh, how do I answer this? I could go with my ancestry from other nations such as the fact that I'm mostly English, German, 1/8 Irish on each side, Italian and I am a very very very small bit Native-American. Really, that part is too small to mention and I don't remember which tribe. But it was a case where one of my great grandfathers in days of the "Wild West" married an Indian Squaw... it just sounds sooooo romantic! ^_^ Beyond knowing several of my ancestors fought in the American Civil War and were Western Pioneers, I don't know how far back they go. So does this make my identity thoroughly American? Perhaps, I suppose so, if one looks on the external. However, I find my identity in being an adopted son of the Nation of Christ with Jesus as my King, "for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise." (Galatians 3:26-29). Hence my national identity is that I am a child of Christ Jesus and He is my beloved Sovereign; I am a Christian.

I heard once that one of my great-great-whatever grandmothers was going to run off with a chief so my great-great-whatever grandfather shot and killed her.
I'm not sure how true it is but it does make sense.

Scottish. And German. And(I think) a bit of French Canadian(supposedly). Oh, and(allegedly according to a great grandmother of mine) a smidgen of Native American Indian(again, not completely sure of the validity of this, so don't quote me on that).

I heard my great great great grandfather fell in love with an Indian chief's daughter, but she was betrothed to the tribe's strongest warrior. They saw each other in secret, but there was a huge misunderstanding that resulted in the warrior's death. Then, my great great great grandfather was captured by the tribe, and the chief was about to execute him when his daughter threw herself in front of chief's tomahawk to save my great great great grandfather. It was really romantic.

But she married somebody else, so my great great great grandfather married one of his fellow colonists.

Ok, I'm an extreme mix.

But I'm mostly Irish and Scottish, of Royal descent on the Irish side, both of my parents have strong Irish blood and one came from Royalty, the O'Flaherty's. Scottish, I'm not so sure about the wheres and hows of that. I have a TINY speck of Mohawk Native American, and it shows up in me more than my paper-white sisters. Dutch, French, English and probably more. (I can diss on the French yo~) :jump:

As my sister once said; "We are a taste of Europe." And we really are. All my sisters and I have different colored hair, my hair is a blondish/carmel, my middle sister is a brunette with very pale and Irish like skin which explains the slight red highlights that show up in her hair when the sun hits it just right, and my oldest sister has very blond hair, she is also pale.

I know I have more but I can't remember it all XD This is a cool thread to read.

Oh and I'm American. :P

English, scottish, German, Spanish, Mexican and Native American.

Family fought on both sides of War between the States and The Mexican–American War. One of my dad's side family member was a WWI pliot for German and was the last family member to live in German at that time.

My grandfather on my dad's side was with the 9th Air Force and was a mechanic for P-38 of the 370th Fighter Group and P-47D of the 406th Fighter Group. After the war, went back to Tennessee and end up working at Y-12 National Security Complex in located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Most noted ancestor in my family is Benjamin Franklin.
