I will be at the rave! Especially since Muramasa and Kanon will be in attendence. ^_^

Although I was thinking if we had more then 2 of us going to pick up badges on Thursday we could do some kind of "pre" CAA meet up but then again that darn line is so flippin' long and you're standing in it for 2 hours anyway. It'd be more like a "while we wait in line" meet up. XD

Well I'm definitely going and picking up my badge tomorrow, though I'm not exactly sure at what time...but probably closer to 8 or 9 PM so that the heat isn't so bad...plus it's a 6 hour drive for me to get up there and I don't like to wake up early. XD

We usually meet up, chat, eat some meals together, go to panels together. Stuff like that.

I'm thinking around 11-12ish, depending on when people get hungry. XD

Usually we go get the cheapo meals, but have one big dinner gathering at some restaurant. Two years ago Closet Otaku showed us an Italian place. Twas very nice.

Before you settle in, CHECK YOUR BEDSHEETS. There have been reports of bedbugs nationwide. They are tiny parasitic insects like lice. If you see any in your sheets, FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY. I'm not trying to scare you, but just be careful.

Better yet, pull up the fitted sheet (or lowest sheet if it is not fitted) and look at the seam where the two mattresses join. If you see red and/or black spots in little clusters, it is likely that that room has had (or now has) bedbugs.

Not foolproof, but a good indicator.

Got rained on walking to lunch, but we arrived before 3 and had our badges by 3:45. Really good system they've worked this year -- we got here about 7 PM last year and it took about 3 hours to do the same thing -- we just walked out of the hotel to check, no big outside lines, really smooth check-in process. Hope it continues that way.

Hey all. Well I am sorry I didn't make it to meet with everyone. I was busy checking out something at that time plus dealers and art rooms. How did everyone fair with the fire alarm round 2PM. I was planning to see the AMVs for a second time but ended up helping get people out of the building. I did get to see the vidoes after going to eat and getting back just as they started and then up the street for Cosplay and back to the hotel for anime of CN for getting some sleep.

What happened with the fire alarm?

According to the Otakon website, the official story was that it was a "false fire alarm" that was deliberately pulled within the Convention Center. No mention was made if the perpetrator(s) were caught.

However, twenty-odd thousand people evacuated the BCC. It was quite a sight.

Moments after we reached No More Bottles of Beer on the Wall, the doors were reopened.

I completely fail at making the CAA meet up this year. x_X But I would've made it had I actually had a working cell phone. I can't wait to see pics though! I'm still getting all my pictures together and in the process of making a report, yay! ^_^
