Favorite Weird Al Song and/or Video

Postby ADXC » Sun Jul 25, 2010 12:46 pm

I don't know why I didn't make a thread about this sooner, but anyway, what can you do? Ok, so the question is, which is your favorite song and/or video of Weird Al Yankovic?

This includes ALL of his works including parodies, Weird Al originals, and polkas.

I have way too many favorites to choose from, so I thought I'd ask you guys!

I have to say that both "Eat It" and "Fat" are pretty high up on my list of favorites from Weird Al. XD Also, I will never stop loving "White and Nerdy." XD "Amish Paradise" is also a classic. XD

Cool, the MJ parodies.

Corrie, if you liked White and Nerdy, you would love "It's all about the Pentiums". It's on Youtube, look it up.

White and Nerdy is my favorite single (Is that a single? I mean, he released a video for it, and up until the most recent albun, only one song per album got a video)

As for my favorite parody of a song I liked, I liked the Jerry Springer song, though it was rather... risque for Al.

Out of his original music, I like "Horoscope" the best. Mostly because I can sing the no-pause portion. I am under the belief that the no-pause in "Hardware store" is not humanly possible.

Lol... umm... probably Amish Paradise as my favorite parody along with Eat it and fat.

Skipper Dan would have to be my favorite original.

I like "Dare to Be Stupid", "Close But No Cigar", "Amish Paradise", "Eat It", "Buy Me a Condo" (a style parody of Bob Marley, right down to a fake Jamaican accent), "Sort of Everything I Ever Wanted", "Genius In France", and "Albuquerque".

@ Bob- Yeah, when I heard Jerry Springer, I laughed at it because of what song it was parodying. Which was Last Week.

Your Horoscope for Today is also one of my favorites! And Hardware Store just sounds awesome.

@ Rock- I've listened to Dare to be Stupid, Amish Paradise, Eat It and Albuquerque(Which really is one of THE most random long songs Al has ever done. But it was sooooo funny. It was a 11 minutes long and something seconds.). I need to listen to the others though.

Okay, now how about for some holiday spirit? I remember two of his songs that were centered around that. "It's Christmas at Ground Zero" and "The Night Santa Went Crazy (Extra gory version)" are fantastic.

I really liked the one where they go to the drivethrough, but I can't remember what it's called.

It's called Trapped in the Drive-Thru, and that one is pretty epic! XD

10+ minutes long!

I would put Trapped in the Drive-Thru along with Albuquerque and The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota(It sounds like it would be hard to find words to rhyme with Minnesota, but Al does it somehow. XD) as the longest songs he ever did.

Ones that other have listed that I like are "Eat It","White and Nerdy, and "Amish Paradise.

Now for my other ones that I like are, "Do I Creep You Out", which is a parody to American Idol's Taylor Hicks, "The Saga Begins", love this parody of american pie song.

My all time favorite song and video is Bob, because any parody of a Bob Dylan and singing just like him is a win. It's also a good song since it was done completely in palindromes.

@ Roy-Yeah I loved The Saga begins.
I always thought the Bob song was a little weird, but now I see what he was doing.

@ Atria- Those are great. Smells like Teen Spirit is labeled as "Smells like Nirvana." Which really just blew me away because of not only the lyrics, but how they completely mimicked the Smells like Teen Spirit video, but in a funny way.

Yeah it's hard to choose, that's why I couldn't, but rather decided to ask you guys.

I also liked Raul's Pet show or whatever it was, Wheel of Fish(YOU'RE SO STUPID!), the funeral one(Now try our new Salad bar.), Spatula world(We sell Spatulas, and that's it!) and the one about the "lesbian Nazi hookers being abducted by aliens and forced into weight loss programs"

I just died when I heard that one. XD

This displeases Roy very much that no one has list that.
