Replaying Kotor:2-The Sith Lords'.
Derek -The Daring Pokemon - A cool, totally awesome Pokemon that uses his power of song, medical skills and powers of cool to make others see things differently. He is not temperamental, but he likes to pull pranks and grins when you fall into his traps. Usually, he styles a fedora and prances around on all fours, he's all black with a white belly.

"Although I look into infinity. I only see the lords eyes, always shining upon my face and smiling in my heart. He will always be with me, no matter where I may go. Always watch over me lord. For I shall be eternal in your light."-Derek.

AWESOME game, HORRIBLE music. Wish I could get my hands on it again...

Got me Sonic Heroes for the PS2 on Friday, but the game's a major letdown. Going to swap it tomorrow for either Onimusha 3 or Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2. Any advice on which one I should take?

I had a lot of fun with Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2. But I tend to lean towards Naruto stuff. I also like multiplayer games more than single player games to. :thumb:

Working on inFamous.

It can be fun when it's fun, but man... I hate it when games don't have proper easy modes. I'm not the most skilled game player in the world, and I like to build up slowly, like Metal Gear lets me do. I take it one difficulty level at a time, and eventually I can do something like extreme.

Western games in general never seem to get this right... I've spent more time (especially since I got to the Warren, and now the Historical District) in this game frustrated than I did having fun. The first 1/3 of the game was fun, I think. At least if you don't count "Walk the dogs". The difficulty just raised artificially as it went on. You could be enemy free one minute, and surrounded by as many as 40 or 50 the next, and the trash men take 5x more hits than the Reapers... At least until the reapers start coming over to the Warren, and suddenly buff up...

Then there's other things not related to gameplay... This game is buggy as heck, with clipping and bad collision throughout... Whenever they do in-game cutscenes, they only seem to know one camera technique, and that's the QUICK CRANE SHOT ZOOM INTO SOMETHING... I'd been spoiled by other games with better cinematography (MGS4, Uncharted) as well as games with better collision. I've fallen through the floor at least 3 times, but I think it may have been 4 by now. I also ran straight through a wall once...

The comic book cut scenes are one high point of this game. They're stylistic and cool, almost making up for the in-engine cut scenes...

For some reason, I feel compelled to beat this game... Especially now that I'm so near the end, but I don't think I'll be playing it again to earn all the evil trophies (though, I realize now if I'd only saved before each decision, I could have earned most of them in one playthrough... まいか...)

I'm also playing through Radical Dreamers again, playing through on my PSP (which I keep in the bathroom). I never actually beat it the first time, and I lost my save file, so I'm working on it again. I at least caught up to where I was before (met with Riddel)

During my time with the game I found out that I could electrically charge certain metal objects in the area and recharge myself, without looking for charge points. That really helped me a lot. Oh yeah and finding all the blast shards can be a pain, but I actually managed to find them all and beat the game. There were a lot a bugs and glitches throughout the entire game, which froze up my ps3 almost every playthrough. Open world games usually burn up my console for some reason.

Got back into Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2 (for GBA). I left it when I got to a particularly hard chapter, and came back to it today and beat the level, then beat a couple more.

This game didn't make a whole lot of sense before, mostly because I haven't played the first one and don't know who half these people are and what they did, but I kind of got an idea. It doesn't help that this game loves to, out of the blue, chuck you into a mission with completely new units, and you're supposed to know who they are from the last game.

But now, they've really done it. In the latest chapter, I've been fighting space aliens from space, in space. I've fought a few before, but this is a second (possibly third?) type of alien. I'd've drop-kicked my GBA (with said game in it) weeks ago, but a) I need the GBA for Fire Emblem, another strategy RPG which frustrates me to no end, but at least makes sense, and b) SRW:OG2 is just too blasted awesome.

I've played both. Given the choice between the two, I'd choose Onimusha 3. However, I tend to side with single player games anyway. Good story, though. It sucked me in.

Well, got me Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 today but haven't had the time to play it yet. If it sucks I'll swap it for Onimusha 3 or something else that catches my fancy at the shop.

On another, totally awesome note, I'm getting Street Fighter Alpha Anthology for the PS2 next week, at a quarter the price of a new game. BOO-YAH!

Just beat infamous

Got all the trophies I figured were quickly attainable. Now I'm done... Maybe, someday, I'll borrow it from someone and work on getting all the evil trophies, and maybe attempt to finish my stunt list (that "shoot someone while falling and then thunder drop them" one stopped me... By the time you shoot them, you're nearly to the ground, even from the highest buildings, and nowhere near anything for you to thunder drop...)

I'm tired of the game. It was frustrating, and ceased being fun and I'm just glad I finished it... I kind of want to go back and play a really good game again... Good thing I never uninstalled Metal Gear.

Ahh, so you decided to get the Naruto game. :thumb:
By the way heres a few tips for when you get Street Fighter Alpha Anthology.

Hyper Street Fighter Alpha - Beat all 6 games (SFA, SFA2, SFA2G, SFA3, SFA3U, and Pocket Fighter) save, when at the menu, highlight SFA1, hold select and press any button

Street Fighter Alpha 3 - Upper Beat Street Fighter Alpha 3, save, and when at the menu, highlight SFA3, hold select and press any button

Actually the big reveal at the end was quite interesting... I just found a lot of what lead up to it to be stupid... Mostly gameplay wise. The story was workable, and the twist was good, I just didn't think it was worth it.

Compare this to Uncharted. Uncharted got frustrating too, and the story was about on par with Infamous, but what kept me going was how solid the whole thing felt (the fact it looked a whole deal better, and had much better voice acting and dialogue didn't hurt, either). If the story is super mega incredible, I can deal with some problems in design. If the story is average, like Uncharted or inFamous, I need a better design to balance it out. I guess this is why I generally avoid open games... If they're too open, it means a lot of details are left out...

I've been playing Soul Calibur 4 on the 360. Holy crap the game is so much fun and The Apprentice is freaking awesome. I'll have to buy Darth Vader for it, lol.

I had a one month trial of Xbox Live Gold (ran out last Sunday). I got my butt kicked. I won like, 2 out of 30 battles. :(

Well, I played Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2 for the PS2 last night for about an hour. Overall I have mixed feelings about it. I started off playing practice mode with Sakura (keep in mind I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this Anime, so I do not know anything about any of the characters). At first I was rather disappointed with the game because it felt like a button-basher to me. After playing a while though I started seeing a bit more depth in the game (using Chakra powers, moving between different playing fields, running up walls, using different projectile weapons, etc). It actually reminds me a lot of Dragonball Z Budokai 3 that I also own (probably because they were both created by Atari). I ended up playing with quite a couple of the characters (almost all of them look postively stark-raving bonkers by the way) and ended up liking Hinata quite a bit (both in terms of her fighting style as well as her shy personality ^_^). Kakashi also looks like a cool cat (in terms of his character design as well as his fighting style).

Oh, and I found Naruto's voice REALLY annoying.

Overall I'd give the game a 6.5/7 out of 10. It just saddens me that, living in South Africa, and in a small town to boot, I most probably won't be playing this game against someone equally/more skilled than I am at fighting games anytime soon, so I'll just be playing against the CPU :-(

By the way, for those of you who have played them, how do Ultimate Ninja 3 and 4 compare to Ultimate Ninja 2 and what would you consider the best Naruto game on the PS2?

Wolfenstein. I really can't understand the reasoning behind all the tepid reviews, except to say that these days every FPS is expected to be Fallout 3. It's like, God help a game if the graphics aren't completely photorealistic, or if the gameplay time falls short of the 20 hour mark, or if the player is seldom if ever at a loss for what on earth to do next. Is "linear" such a bad word now?

Look, Wolfenstein is fun. It's a pretty solid FPS game.
And just in case you're wondering, yes, you will fight a guy who says "Guten Tag!" Now if only BJ Blaskowicz jumps up in the air and shouts "Yeah!" at some point in the game, it will complete the experience.

Just beat Radical Dreamers... At least I got ending 1 of 7... I suppose I shouldn't have expected a single, simple ending for anything related to Chrono Trigger. Whether in Radical Dreamers or in Chrono Cross, the scenes with Lynx and Kid always make me cry...

Mostly crying now because Chrono should have been a trilogy (not counting RD of course) and we got the downer Chrono Cross and were left hanging...

まいか。

"I look away after a nervous moment, but full of glee. I can never handle this kind of thing -- those baby blues of hers get me every time..."

EDIT: I'm working out how to get Chrono Cross again...

I never owned it, only borrowed frequently and rented and such. Considering how much I liked it, you'd think i'd havebought it... Come to think of it, I never bought MGS2 either... Only 1 and 3 and 4 and Portable Ops... (and MG1 and 2 on NES, but... I try to forget those, now)

I'm also playing through Radical dreamers again, and it's quite different this time. I wonder if this represents 7 other alternate histories of the thousands (Millions?) represented in Chronopolis in Chrono Cross... It could be these are 7 alternate worlds, much the same as the 2 worlds in Chrono Cross.

If I had any Sway with Squ'eenix, I'd get an updated (not full next-gen, just updated, maybe with voices, also with texture correction and such) version of Chrono Cross to be made (maybe for release on PSN) and it'd include the RD story as part of it. Oh, and actually finally finish the Chrono Series that ends on a Cliffhanger...

I am playing Call of Duty: World at War online, and I must say, it has got to be one of the worst online gaming experiences I've ever had. The dogs and tanks are the cheapest killing machines in multiplayer, and I get owned by them all the time. I spawn and then I get killed by a dog. Then I spawn again and get shot to pieces by a tank.

On the bright side, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is coming out soon :) < guaranteed to be a good game
