Oddly enough, I did think they struck one emotional note right: when main character guy's father is trying to stop him from leaving, obviously mirroring the beginning when he pretended not to care that he was leaving for college. Part of me wanted to call this heavy-handed, but I have to admit that's probably more emotional depth than the rest of the movie combined.

I caught that too.

My favourite part of the entire movie....up till this point I really didn't take it seriously (in the sense of, "what if this was happening in real life? Giant robots really trying to destroy us." That was what made the first one great to me, and I didn't really get that in #2 till this point)....

The movie was an excuse for giant robots to fight. So I don't see what the problem was. Except there wasn't enough robots fighting.

I didn't like this movie a whole lot. Really all the sex stuff is stupid and they need to keep it out. It serves no purpose but to destroy a good movie.

The movie was okay, I guess. I really don't see why it was rated PG-13 when it should have more like R or something. Why do I say this? I saw Public Enemies recently which was definitely more tame than this movie. And it is rated R. They say the F word one or two times and there is some violence. I don't really see how Transformers 2 made it past the rating because of all the sex stuff. Oh is it because they replace the F word with F-ing? Seriously.

the Last Samaria was rated R and this movie was WAY worse then that.

Perhaps I'm alone in thinking the sexual content didn't ruin the movie... I honestly think the movie was probably already trash, and the content was merely a symptom of the overall problem.
