AKA chan: yes, I was quite surprised when I read DK 11 *snif* but now I haven't been to suncoast in FOREVER and so I need to go back and see if any new DK, fushigi yugi, .hack/legend of the twilight, Yuyuhakusho, inuyasha, or jing king of bandits is out o.O;;

Anyone else wonder what Nadil does when he doesn't have his head? I'd think it'd be kind of boring not have access to four out of your five senses; you can't even do the crossword puzzle while your minions are out trying to get your head back for you. (How would he give orders, anyway?)

either way, it would be quite difficult to eat. Nothing you ate would reach your stomach and you'd be quite hungry. :lol:

O_O I never thought of that. No chocolate for however long he is without his head?! I would die if I had to do that. How horrible.

I can't WAIT until volume 13 comes out...I have it in Japanese, and I'd say it's my favorite volume from what I've read so far (1-15, 18, 20, 21), but it's very hard for me to read Garfakcy's dialogue with Nohiro~ I'd love to see exactly what's going on there. XD And I can't wait to see how Sabel turns out in English, too!

I love trying to figure out how they'll translate characters when manga comes to America. Sometimes the romanizations are so different! (Though that throws me off...)

*tear* I only have the english translated versions.....btw, where would you get the jap versions????? o.O;; even tho I'm only a beginner at learning japanese, I've read the other ones enough and know enough jap. to at least understand what's going on. ^.~

I get most of my Japanese manga from the Kinokuniya Bookstore that's about an hour's drive from me. http://sasugabooks.com/ is another good bookstore that lets you order online (obviously).

The only thing that's bugged me about Tokyo Pop's translation is how they translated Avis Rara (Doctor Liara in volume 12) and Ramagnas' (Larmganas) names. I just think Ramganas sounds better, and according to a friend of mine, Avis Rara actually MEANS something in Latin. ^^;

I agree. Oh, and what does Avis Rara mean? My Latin is terribly rusty. Avis has something to do with flight, methinks, but I am most likely wrong.

huh? I just got finished reading (blade's) vol 12 and I didn't see any mention of an Avis Rara (maybe she's in vol 13 in the translated version) o.O;; oh well *sigh* so then, if she IS in there somewheres....which chapter?! which page?
hmmm....maybe I oughta go search the net for a latin-english translator... *goes to search and wander* .....AHH....MOSQUITO! (don't ask) ^^;;

MOSQUITO TURN CHAIR?! XD ...nevermind...I think I'm going crazy.

Anyways, Avis Rara IS in volume 12; they refer to him as Dr. Liara, and he shows up towards the end of the book, I think. Though Avis does also show up in volume 13 and 14 *giggles* because [spoiler]He's really Kharl, which is fitting because Avis Rara means "odd bird" or something along those lines.[/spoiler]

I always knew Kharl was pretty resilient, but this takes the cake! *gives Kharl noogies and a few more forks so he can fix his hair afterwards* I wonder if Garfakcy has tried resorting to those plastic safety caps you put on sockets when you baby-proof a house. He might want to try investing in a few...but then we wouldn't have our Kharl with his lovely chicken-butt hair, would we? ^___~
