Not sure if this has been posted yet..
But, yes, I bring no lies.

God of War III is a forthcoming installment in the God of War video game franchise. It was formally announced at E3 2008, and is expected to be released in 2009 according to the Amazon website exclusively for the PlayStation 3. It is the fifth chapter in the series chronologically, after God of War: Chains of Olympus, God of War, God of War: Betrayal and God of War II. The tagline for the game is "In the end, there will be only chaos".

Wow.. I beat both God of War and God of War II. So now, I guess I need to save up my pennies for a PS3 to play III.
I honestly think Hades will be one of the last, if not the last boss due to Gaia (I think it was Gaia) said that if Kratos were to kill Zeus (Which he didn't), Hades will hunt him down. So, I'm guessing there will be some blood feud between Kratos and Hades somewhere.

Anyone who has listened to the Gamecast knows Omega, Link, and myself are all stoked for God of War III. XD I still need to play Chains of Olympus but I'll do that later!

Not too sure about the plot though...it could go either way at this point, with Kratos taking on Zeus/Hades, or maybe having to switch sides and take the Titans down for whatever reason. Fighting some Titans would be pretty awesome says I.

True that. In God of War II you kinda get on the bad side of that titan that was slaved to live in a extremely cold wasteland, probably he shows up again.

And they better put in that ship captain again! :mutter:

I was thinking more along the lines of like...the gods being necessary for some reason, and the Titans messing everything up. I can also see the Titans betraying Kratos since he was a god before.

Or heck, maybe Kratos just fights everyone because they're destroying the world. XD

I knew this was going to be on the PS3, which is a shame because I wanted to be able to finish the God of War saga. Not only are they fun games, I'm curious how they'll end the storyline. The fact that Kratos already fought Zeus in the second game means that they can't do a rematch - that wouldn't be a satisfying conclusion. Titan fights could be fun.

It looks pretty cool though I haven't played the previous games but I have played similar games.
"Who is this?" they said to Me
'That the wind and waves obey
Come, let's hang Him on a tree
That His reign should pass away'
But here I am I say to you
Though you turn away, it is My will
To love you for forevermore
Peace be still, peace be still

I advise you to play the first games (I didn't play Chains of Olympus though, didn't bother).
I played I before getting II. Really helped me understand everything better.

Chains of Olympus was about as good as you could expect a GoW game made for a handheld system to be. The controls take some getting used to, but it looks nice, it's satisfyingly brutal and bloody, and of course it's got the requisite you-know-whats. :eyeroll:
Not a very well-defined story though. Basically it's not long after Kratos has been cursed as the "Ghost of Sparta" and he's just doing monkey-boy work for the gods.

I loved I and II. After seeing a trailer for III, I can hardly wait. And considering a "making of" DVD was packaged with II, I can only wonder if they'll do something similar for the upcoming installment.

I should play these games. I'm a huge greek myth buff and I love everything inspired by greek mythology. Generally not my style of game at all but all this talk of fighting Zeus/Hades, the Titans etc etc. makes me REALLY wanna play this. And seeing that clip from the first game where you fight a huge Hydra?! Awesome.

(one of my favorite games for the PS1 was this game called Herc's Adventure... ya play as Hercules, Jason, or Atalanta and you have to rescue Persephone from the Underworld who was kidnapped by Hades. It was so awesome. Never did beat Hades at the end though. I was still stalking up on food just before the hades battle and got bored collecting the amount of food ya should have if you don't wanna die).
