Okay, here we go again... TV Guide and Yahoo's listings have "To Be Announced" on tonight, while adult swim has the normal lineup. I'm guessing adult swim is right, like they were last week, but who knows.

Next Saturday.
The CN schedule has Spider Man from 8 PM to 10:30 PM and special showing to 11 PM
I have heard that on other post that CN/AS was removing all anime from Sat schedule.
I seen the change in the end of the 9 to 11 schedule with the robot host saying its been a good time and thanks.
What is the truth on this?

Cartoon Network just ended the Toonami block last night. It's bit of a shame as I know it got quite a few people into anime back in the day, but not all that surprising given Toonami's state the last few years...although this was extremely sudden.
It seems Anime has mainly been relegated to Adult Swim, but since AS doesn't look like it cares about it anymore either, it looks like anime is basically dead for the entire channel except for maybe a few really popular things like Naruto.

Toonami Jetstream, their online streaming station, is being kept for now though.

Is Naruto going to stay in the Sat schedule along with Bleach at 11 PM and Code Geass and Moribito in the 5AM block or is CN/AS just going to wipe the channel clean?
I seen a ad for the Tim and Eric show for Sunday night. Talk about obscene.
One thing I want to know is how they get their ratings for th e shows that are watched?
Does the the cable company have some meter that tells them the number of people watching a channel or is there another meter for selected viewers to show what they watch? If the second is the case then they are sure shorting on a lot TV and cable shows that viewers are watching. I would say there are more viewers than those rated.

Adult Swim Lineup for Sept

Just go by what is posted here. If anything changes, I will try to update it as soon as I can.

As for TV Guide and Yahoo's listings, they are never right at times and I never trusted them ever.

As for Naruto, this is what I heard. This was not said at the AWA pannel, but word around the street is that they are not canceling Naruto, but as of right now, they are in a noncommittal on acquiring any more eps of Naruto. I believe they have about 15 new eps left and after that, its up in the air.

D'oh >_< totally forgot about today being the "Bk Have it your way" night...

any anime on there to report, guys?

Sept 13

Aqua Teen 258,000

Metal (12:45 am) (aka: Metalocalypse) 213,000

Metal (12:30 am) (aka: Metalocalypse) 205,000

Umm well... the bright side: Anime hasn't done much worse than this...and Bleach tied with AQ the week before.. :/ I've even seen anime do about 100,000+ better than this... hmmm

I think anime fans are boycotting to be honest... AS isn't worth watching for a lot of us...

Soo doesn't this mean that it's not necassarily the anime fans' fault? Because if their regular shows are doing THIS bad... >_>

First, I want to FYI that Strait Jacket anime movie will tonight on Sci Fi channel at 11 pm.

Now for other news about anime on the internet.

Funimation will be streaming the 13 episodes of Shikabane Hime: Aka within weeks of their airing on Japanese television. The first English-subtitled episode will stream for free on the YouTube, Joost.com, Hulu.com, and funimation.com's video services on Friday, October 24, after having premiered in Japan on October 2. There will also be a US$1.99 download option on funimation.com.

Just finished watching Strait Jacket. It's all right, but not worth recommending. I give it a C.

Descendants Of Darkness anime series will air this Monday on the Sci Fi channel at 12 am.
The following week will feature only 1 episode as they show the last 3 episodes of Gurren Lagann. There will be no Ani-Monday until 2 weeks later which will start off with Gundam 00 taking the timeslot for Gurren Lagann, followed by 2 episodes of Descendants Of Darkness at 12:00 AM.

Bad news for Moribito watchers, after this weekend Moribito will start over from episode 1.

Ah man that's a bummer because I was really getting into Moribito.

Wait does that mean that they will have new episodes later on after they get through showing the episodes they have already shown, go on hiatus, or are they just stopping there?

I assume that they will show new episodes. Theoretically, starting over would allow them to attract new viewers.
But it's made generally pointless by the show's airtime of 5:30 AM.

FLCL has been a very good anime for ratings for Adult Swm, so they are going to do what they need to.

Look at this way, its better then not having any anime at all on Adult Swim.

@ rocklobster-When AS receives phone calls, letters, and emails from pigs who fly while waiting for the cows to come home when hell freezes over.(Sorry I was I just having too much fun with trite phrases.)

@ CK- Yes it sure does.

Is this when they start replaying old Moribito episodes? And also are the episodes of Bleach still going to be new?
