Bleach Speculation (Chapters 300+)

Post about anime's sister, manga in here. Manga reviews accepted in here as well.

Other than some characterization of the Espada, that chapter was a waste of time, in my opinion. I don't want to see that much time spent on one-sided fights.

As far as Mayuri, anyone else want to bet he's screwing around? The chapter ending has an oddly false feeling to me. I expect him to be conducting some sort of experiment (or reveal that he can operate without internal organs - or doesn't have any).

Eh, I don't know much about Mayuri but I agree: That Byakuya vs PumpkinMan, fight was quite a waste of time. I suddenly have an deep appreciation for Yu Yu Hakusho's one-sided fights:

Opponent: *trashtalks*
Hiei: .......
Opponent: *trashtalks*
Hiei: *chops up opponent*

Audience: *claps* Thank you for doing that within 4 panels.

I was actually glad to see a fight reach a conclusion. Wow, finality and closure. Who knew? So, will Isane actually do anything I wonder.

So, no real chapter this week as a Hitsugaya short story was published instead.
For what it was worth I enjoyed it, as Hitsugaya is one of my favorite captains, even if I think his popularity causes Kubo Tite to overuse him.

At any rate, it looks like Mayuri completely pwned his opponent last week. I'm going to assume Kenpachi will win as well, which would mean five espada would have been taken out this arc.

Wait, so is the new chapter promoting / about the new movie, or...? D: And I'm failing to find any info on the movie. ;~;

I prolly woulda enjoyed it more if the online viewer wasn't loading so slow. @o@ But, yeah, I dunno. I haven't really liked Hitsugaya as much ever since he's been one of the characters that Kubo Tite throws love on. D:

And if that means five Espada are taken out this arc, does that mean there'll be five new Espada later? :D 'Cause new characters are one of the things I like most about Bleach. ;;<:

As others have pointed out in the past, the Espada will be down quite a few members if Zaraki wins. Also, with 5-9 dead, Yamii is all alone at the bottom of the rankings, far behind the main characters. Perhaps Chad will get a rematch later?

I'm neutral about Hitsugaya, so I found this disruption of the main story line irritating. But it's probably just one week and it offers an interesting insight into Zanpakuto in general.

I have been wondering about that. To me that would feel cheap. It already seems clear that Kubo Tite has abandoned the 21 Arrancar thing from long ago, so there needs to be some limit on the antagonists. While the new characters might be interesting, I want to see some more consistent antagonists.

However, you may well be correct, as there are tons of good guys and only seven remaining high-powered antagonists.

One thing has been slightly bothering me. Is Grimmjaw still alive? I remember him being attacked by Noitora, but don't actually remember him dieing.

Ah yes, he's not dead yet either. I've basically been considering him as such because he lost the climactic battle, but I suppose it's possible he'd live. In that case I'd imagine he'd become an anti-hero (or at least rogue) because he's fought Ichigo too many times. There's also a chance he's alive but will sacrifice himself before this arc is over.

Yeah, and what about Ulquiorra.
What I really want is for Halibel to show up soon. I dunno...I don't quite like her outfit, but she HAS to be tough to be an Espada, ne?

(And what about Stark and the older gentleman Espada. Reason I ask so many questions is that I'm a NON-RABID Espada fangirl. So sue me.)

Alright, can anyone explain to me how Crazy-Evil-Scientist-Protagonist can maintain his existence and mobility without organs or tendons when fighting Crazy-Evil-Scientist-Antagonist? Does it matter? Why do I care?*head explodes*
Poor Namu, does she do anything other than lie on the ground bleeding? That girl gets no respect.

Something about the casual nature of the statement regarding mortality, even if the character in question is fictional, is just plain funny.

{{To Doubleshadow}}

Crazy-Evil-Scientist-Protagonist (A.K.A Mayuri) replaced all of his organs/tendons/ligaments/muscles, ect. with dummy ones. They might be from another shinigami (eww...), or made from the Research and Development Team's extra...building materials.
Therefore, Mayuri's REAL body parts probably were destroyed as Szayel broke the doll.
(I also feel sorry for Namu! All she does is bleed and/or stand there with a stoic expression on her face!)

But hey. It's anime/manga. Does there need to be an explanation?

Time is fluid in Bleach, so we don't know how much time is left. I somewhat expect everyone to be gone by the time the hour is up, but it's possible that he'll break out and this string of fights will continue. Again. While I'd like to see Halibel fight, I hope it isn't now. There has been quite enough of that.

Doubleshadow wrote:Alright, can anyone explain to me how Crazy-Evil-Scientist-Protagonist can maintain his existence and mobility without organs or tendons when fighting Crazy-Evil-Scientist-Antagonist? Does it matter? Why do I care?*head explodes*

I've been assuming that he's essentially in a cyborg clone, which has body parts that can "break" but still function. But yes, that struck me as a dodgy explanation.

Indeed. I'd rather he was dead, but hopefully he and Mayuri will have an entertaining battle. Poor Nemu, though; it'd be nice if Mayuri showed that he cared enough to get a bit irritated at the Espada. Also, I like his expression on the last panel.

I really feel sorry for Nemu. Now she's an incubator for a creepy Szayel puppet...thing.
I wish that they would just end the fighting soon. I want more of a "storyline", per-se.
Now, don't get me wrong. I like the fight scenes (when it's not all trashtalk, as in Bya-Bya's case), but I really like some FIBER in the story.

I'm getting peeved.

This is completely off-chapter: I've only started watching the Bleach anime: Soul Society Arc.

Ichigo vs Star Head Captain: Ichigo gets pwned.
Chad vs Samurai Captain: Chad get pwned.

Tell me: Ichigo and Co. miserably gets PWNed excessively in the whole series. Is that true?

Ehh...most of the series, with breaks of Ichi, Uryuu, and Chad pwning others. Orihime never pwns. That's sad. Oh, yeah. Rukai pwns, too. :3

(P.S. Star-Head captain is Kenpachi. Samurai captain is Kyouraku...I need to get a life...)

Actually, in Soul Society Ichigo wins every major fight he starts (with a notable exception at the end). He gets bloodied and beaten at the very beginning of them, but he always wins. Thankfully that pattern has not continued.

Feel sorrier for Chad, who has twice had "Look I beat someon-PWND" moments. Furthermore, the people he has beaten have always been recently introduced unimportant characters. Or feel even worse for Orihime, who hasn't beaten anyone since that random Hollow.

I need to brush up on my Soul Society Arc info. I'm more into the Rescue-Orihime-Arc-and-up info.

Oh, yeah. Just a question. What chapter did Grimmjow release his form? I heard about it that he's a panther-type Hollow thingamajiggy. Not even sure if it's out yet. It may just be rumors...I dunno.

I just wanted to see Kitty Grimmjow. :3~

After watching a few more episodes, I'll agree Ichigo pwns more than I feel obligated to believe. I guess when someone does a Bleach anime marathon, one can't help getting this feeling that Ichigo is this punchbag and bleeds so much, he could support a bloodbank all by himself.

My big brother: "Man, this dude just won't die, eh?"

Mave: "Well, he kinda does in the most recent chapter."

Big brother: "Kinda?"

Mave: "Eh....never mind. Watch it for yourself."

I like Ichigo so I don't mind seeing him pwn someone.

I imagine people have seen the newest chapter (the apparently Golden Week one). This is fine as far as I'm concerned; it allows the Espada to show he has serious abilities but doesn't make the fight drag on. Interesting technique, really. Also, Nemu may be our first real death in Bleach (that or Mayuri can whip out a clone of her).

Yeah, sorry. By "real" I meant non-flashback (because Kaien and Ichigo's mother also died) and non-Espada. If we don't count minor character and people that died as backstory, it's remarkable how Bleach has so much fighting without anyone dying.

Yeah, especially counting all the blood-loss!

One question. How come the characters, when they're in a fight, are able to lose SO much blood and still survive, yet while they aren't fighting, they can lose blood and have side-affects? Is it just a unwritten rule of Shonen manga?

And I wouldn't be surprised if Mayuri had a clone of Nemu somewhere in his Lab...somewhere...

Wow... new chapter. 305.

He really did care for Nemu it seems like, since the drugs released if you kill her enable him to kill you in the most horrible, torturous, vicious and excruciating manner possible, and he does seem genuinely upset for a while there about her being harmed (he can't be out of it that long... or he'd die too). I'm rather satisfied with the results of the fight, if these are them.

That was the most completely miscarried attempt at a cool, scientific defeat of an opponent ever! It was almost cool, almost, and then the explanation fell all to pieces. He killed him with drug induced paralysis via over-enhanced sensory perceptions. BAH!

Somebody toss Ishida, Renji, and Nemu in a shopping cart and let's go see something better.
