It seems that on July 7th, Sci Fi will become Sy Fy as you said in an earlier thread.

Yep, I saw that they will change the name to Stir fry Channel. When I flip over to watch TW and saw that it was the 1980's version of TW that they were showing from Thursday and half of Friday.

I ended up watching the Force of July on Spike TV and not very happy that they are showing the 1980's version of TW.

But I see they are now back to the real TW now.

Yeah, I know. They did show some TWs from the 80s, but I think they have been fully past that since 4:30 pm today. Don't worry, the old ones are back(Hopefully for the rest of the 4th of July marathon.) And then later on for the New Year's hopefully. I hope that by changing the name they don't change the tradition.

Since I don't have the channel Chiller, but watch Ninja Scroll on the Ani-Monday block on the Sci Fi Channel. I would guess they would give it the full two hours block like they did on the Sci Fi Channel.

Whoa, SERIOUSLY? How did that happen? It'll be subbed, right? I never thought the Monster anime was gonna get licensed! I'll definitely be watching that; that's epic!

Monster's actually been licensed for some time now, it's just that they only recently got around to actually putting something together for a release/broadcast.

Oh, really? Awesome! That's excellent. I've only read the manga and have yet to see the anime, so I'll definitely be watching this. XD Looks like they do have a dub cast listed, though there's only a few characters so far. That's pretty sweet, though!

The English dub of Monster is being produced by Salami Studios for Viz Media who has the North American license to this anime. The first boxset of the series is scheduled to hit shelves December 2009. Viz has also recently come to an agreement with Funimation to run Monster (as well as other Viz titles) on FUNimation's Funimation Channel.

Funimation to Relaunch One Piece Simulcast on August 29

Postby Roy Mustang » Thu Aug 20, 2009 12:03 am

ANN wrote:The North American anime distributor Funimation has announced at 1:00 p.m. EDT that it will relaunch its online streaming of the One Piece anime series on Saturday, August 29 with episode 415. The anime adapts Eiichiro Oda's manga about a young rubber-bodied pirate captain and his motley crew's search for the legendary One Piece treasure. The anime is currently in the Amazon Lily Saga story arc. Funimation will stream episode 415 in the United States and Canada at 9:00 p.m. CDT (10:00 p.m. EDT) — one hour after the Japanese broadcast — and future episodes will follow every week at the same time. Starting this Friday, Funimation will stream three episodes every day from the Sabaody Archipelago Saga story arc's episode 391 to episode 414.

The announcement is being made on Funimation's onepieceofficial.com, and funimation.com websites, and is also promoted on Viz's One Piece website.

Funimation had planned to start online simulcast streaming of One Piece on May 30. At the time, the company was aiming to make One Piece episode 403 available within one hour of the Japanese broadcast. However the simulcast was quickly canceled after episode 403 was leaked and distributed online illegally more than a day before the Japanese broadcast.
