would it b possible to create a live chat? perhaps that would be a good idea, and maybe easier than the privet messeging. just a thought ...

There is a chat. You can either use the Java client (click on the link at the top of the site, in that group of buttons/links) or login to telnet (I think the settings are on the same site as the above)

I think Shooby needs to write a FAQ for this and have DJ slap it into our FAQ on CAA.

There is a FAQ on it, sort of. I suppose I should write a proper step-by-step.

waste of space

It's hardly useless. Whether people choose to chat in it is their own business, not a shortcoming of the software. (Don't listen to him Shooraijin and OldPhil...;))

Besides, we use that chat for project meetings, among other things. It's a very valuable tool.

It wouldn't be useless if people would go in there. It really isn't that hard to use.

Also, it does get used, but not many go there on a regular basis anymore and some people log on at odd hours in the day. Think around 2 in the morning. It has much use, but it seems no one takes advantage of its usefullness very often. The afore mentioned are thinking of (maybe working on) expanding it when ever.

Okay then, never mind.
