She turned towards the tree, her back facing him. "There is a human at the orphanage...near death. They wish to keep her." She didn't really know why she was talking to him, he would never accept her either.
She shrugged, twirling her bo staff and jamming it into the ground, pole vaulting on top of the trees, glancing down at him.

"Why are you talking to me?" it had blurted out before she could stop it. She spoke without showing any of the emotions bubbling in her. They were too confusing to sort. Wasn't she going to let him to do all the talking? She could have kicked herself. Caution Kianna, always Caution.
She tried to stop the next sentence but she couldn't, "Why do you even trust me? I could kill you for all you know. It isn't smart to to trust blindly." Again, she chided herself for talking but it had been a very long time that anyone had talked to her. Her emotions still safetly hidden, she waited.
