Hello! I'm Tamachan319. I'm new here (great. I'm stating the obvious, since I'm in the Who's Who thing). I got introduced the CAA through my older sister, Airichan623. So... I've kind of looked over her shoulder while she had fun on the CAA. I eventually decided that I wanted to be on the CAA myself! So, here I am.
I'm just going to say some stuff I'm interested in for fun. I love to read- just about anything. I also play the flute. I write quite a bit (mostly poems at the moment, but I love short stories too),bake, cook....and of course, read manga and watch anime.
I believe that wraps up my "rambling about being new here in the CAA time". Bye!

Thanks guys! Thanks for the compliment on username, Goldy. (It's good that it works, because for the longest time, I could NOT think of anything!! ) I've been playing flute for... let's see... this coming year will be my 5th year of playing!

Strange question, but have you ever seen the anime Bamboo Blade? (reason I ask is because the main character is always referred to as 'Tama-chan')

Flute ,eh? I used to play clarinet before I joined Drumline.....Well, its not the same as flute but.....never mind. Welcome to CAA!:rock:

Nope! I've never seen Bamboo Blade. The reason I'm Tamachan is that it's the multipurpose cat name in Japanese (like "Tiger" in English).
Here are some of my favorite anime in no particular order:
FMA: Brotherhood
Fruits Basket
Code Geass
Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle
and a bunch of other anime I love but cannot think of at the moment.
Favorite characters:
Kisa Sohma from Fruits Basket
Riza Hawkeye from FMA
Kyoya from Ouran
Shikamaru from Naruto
and again, other characters I think are totally amazing but cannot think of at the moment.

I think the better question is this: What music don't I listen to?
Well, I don't reallly like rap, but rap with singing isn't that bad. I really love classical music and film/anime scores (especially when there's a flute in it!). I also love listening to rock, like Flyleaf. I listen to a lot of Christian music, but I don't really listen to the worship stuff much.

I'm curious; have you ever played pieces from the great classical composers (Handel, Tchaikovsky, Edvard Grieg, etc)?

I know of one good song from the D. Gray Man soundtrack volume 1 that has an awesome flute part in it. The song is "Kanda Yu"

I've played a few pieces by Mozart , Bach (a my solo a few years ago was one of his minuets) , Purcell (a duet I did with a friend).... I played Pachebel's Canon in D once with a flute choir - it was gorgeous. I just got a giant book of classical music for flute, so I'm pretty excited to start that. Hope that satisfied your curiousity!!

I'm so glad to hear that you like to bake and cook (I do too! I make a lot of sweet and candy, though. Bad habit XD )- what are some of your favorite things to bake/cook?

I like to make bread, pasta dishes, and cookies. I also love making cakes, both the decorated (like making them look like a lion) kind and the other way. It must be fun to make candy. I've never made candy before, apart from an attempt at making caramels that only succeeded in producing a squishy mixture partway between liquid and solid.

That's funny, b/c I'm of the same opinion. I prefer Taylor as well, and I like certain Carrie Underwood. (I can't pick favorites; so here are a few of my favorite songs by them!) I don't mind the "too many questions". I like answering questions and asking them as well. So, for that matter, what are some of yours?
Taylor Songs:
"Hey Stephen" (It's so sweet, and I love this line: "All those other girls: well, they're beautiful, but would they write a song for you?")
"Fifteen"
"Best Day"
and of course, I like her super-famous songs too, like "White Horse", etc., etc.
Carrie Songs:
"Temporary Home"
"All-American Girl"

It can be lots of fun! I try not to make anything that would require a candy thermometer (I have one, but it's temperamental), but stick to ones that I can easily create without worrying about burning. Like caramel corn (my brother's favorite! XD And no actual caramel required), peppermint bark (melting white chocolate in a double-boiler and adding crushed peppermint candies), and turtles. I have such a hard time with decorated cakes, though! I can never get the thing to look right!

Do you like to read anything? Do you have any favorite book series/ authors?
