Watched Kung Fu Panda...for the 1st time Saturday night...
Was very suprised at how well done the story was, and was just as pleased to see that the kung fu action scenes really went above and beyond the typical kid flick.....I think the greatest suprise was that Jack Black was in it...and there were no fart jokes....

Re-watched My Fair Lady

Quite funny. Like most musicals, it is a little heavy handed with the songs. Nonetheless, it holds the distinction of being the only romantic comedy that I have ever fully enjoyed.

Dark Water (the Jennifer Connelly remake). It was very unsettling and creepy and sometimes quite scary. Not as good as The Ring but still above average. 7.5/10

I just finished watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I've only seen the first movie before this and have only read the first book, but it's not particularly hard to follow.

I thought The Order of the Phoenix was great (but a much simpler version of the novel).

Just watched "Charade". The way people were going on about it, I expected it to be much better than it was. It was still good, but it was not genius.

I watched The Gods Must Be Crazy yesterday. Hilarious movie, oodles of good fun.

And now I'm in the process of watching The Prestige, which is highly enjoyable because I like magic tricks, and there are so many actors I love in this too. Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Michael Caine, even Andy Serkis....

Se7en. Very dark and disturbing but brilliantly done. There are some graphic scenes but they're the aftermath of the killings and never lingered on or played for 'entertainment'. The movie poses many interesting questions about sin and society.
Highly recommended but certainly not for anyone under 18 years old.

I'm watching The Press Gang series 5 for the second time. It's a British comedy/drama series and very good (and written by the guy who wrote Jekyl, Coupling and the best of new Doctor Who series).

Pilgrim's Progress

The one with Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon Jinn) in it. For a four decade old, B class movie with no budget, it was pretty good. "Funny" would actually be the appropriate word. I need to read that book again.

Santa makes fun of police officers in front of children and then breaks a biker out of jail. It wasn't as interesting as it sounds.

Blade Runner Final Cut

I really liked the atmosphere of the film. The smoke and shadow and neon and rain mixed with trench coats and jazz music was perfect. The story though... man I am going to have to think about it for a long time. It felt like a live action Serial Experiments Lain only darker and more depressing.

[spoiler]I was seriously sympathizing with the replicants, but then I think, those are the ones who slew all those humans, and then I think, those humans were forcing them to do demeaning work, and then I think, they are only robots, and then I think, they act like humans so why aren't they, and then I think they don't have souls, and then I feel sorry for them, and then they kill the one innocent character in the whole movie, and then I think they were manipulated into such an awful position by the humans, and then my head explodes.[/spoiler]

Even with clearplay on, I could tell that this was a mature movie in many different senses of the word. I don't think I will watch it again, even filtered.

Your first time, eh? Glad to hear you had more appreciation for the film than the last poster. In spite of the dark and mature element of the film, I would recommend you return for repeat watchings, there's really so much more you'll discover with repeat viewings. Also, if you get the chance, you should pick up the Vangelis movie score, it's filled to the brim with complete electronic brilliance.

i just saw Speed Racer

it was ok, it was funny because you could tell all the outside scenes were fake and green screened, it was also funny because the sky was always the perfect cloudy sky and also the street was the perfect street....it was still good though and also some of the serious lines were funny to me especially the "see you at the finish line!" was really funny because of how the actor said it lol

but it was still enjoyable watch it for a kiddy movie not life changing plot of course:D

hmm Let's see. This week I watched the Bourne Identity for the first time. It was pretty good

I had never seen any of the Bourne movies so now I'm excited to watch the other two

Iron man for the second time. Just as good as the first time

10/10
Hoodwinked was interesting but the singing goat was annoying...SCHNITZEL! 7/10

I just watched a slew of movies in the past two weeks... XD

Twilight- Obviously as a fan of the books I loved this movie... I've seen it twice...and I intend to buy it when it comes out! 8D

Wall-E- I bought this movie expecting an AMAZING movie with a great plot! What I got was AMAZING graphics with just a so-so plot XD. I LOVED the art and how it looked, which was pretty darn amazing...but I was expecting this to be the BEST Pixar movie and for me, it really wasn't... CARS has been my favorite for almost 3 years and that really hasn't changed... :/

Juno- I thought this was a really funny movie...if not a bit raunchy at times (well it DOES talk about teen preganancy and teens talk about it so blah... XD I'd probably pick it up from a 5-10 dollar bin...
