I'm currently watching The Dark Knight. I haven't seen it since late last year. I'd forgotten how much I love this movie and Christopher Nolan.

Watched The World's Fastest Indian a few nights ago. It was a slow paced flick, but in this movie's case it made it all the more better =] I enjoyed seeing all the different relationships he developed with the people he met on his journey. Overall it was a great, very enjoyable movie!

I just finished another movie marathon, and watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dark Water, The Curse of the Werewolf, and Ginger Snaps.

Watched the 1999 remake of House on Haunted Hill.
Ordinarily I'm openly disdainful of remakes of classic films, but it was recommended by someone on a Silent Hill forum site which I can credit for a lot of good viewing & reading (Including the reason why I now type "house" in blue every time I need to use the word), so I gave it a rental.
I started off somewhat critical minded, fully expecting to hate it. But lo and behold, it was actually quite good.

The last film we watched was Snow Day. I was surprised I'd never heard of it. If you like silly kids adventures, it's a real gem.

I watched Ringu last night. Awesome movie, I enjoyed it very much. ^_^ I watched Ju On a few weeks ago. While that was also good, Ringu was definitely creepier.. ^_^

Watched Millenium Actress (or Sennen Joyuu, whatever you want to call it XD). It was brilliant. I recommend it, but don't expect a passive movie-watching experience-- it keeps your wheels turning the whole time. I want to see more Satoshi Kon stuff now...

I just got back from seeing Ponyo. Great movie.
Also, my Kurosawa film of the week was "Red Beard", where Toshiro Mifune plays a doctor who manages to have an awesome fight scene. Like "Ikiru", it was long, but it told a story worth telling and made you feel like doing good for other people. In the end, I was glad I saw it and am anxiously awaiting the chance to watch "Drunken Angel" sometime this week.

A few weeks ago I watched Seven Samurai, and Dodes Ka' Den. Both were enjoyable, although SS was harder to watch, due to being rather slow..

Just watched the 1999 remake of The Haunting. (I had a free rental at Blockbuster.) Or rather, I watched maybe half of it. It was awful and I couldn't stand it anymore, so I turned it off. That's what you get from the director of Speed and Twister.

Fast and Furious... snoozefest.... I admit the first F&F was entertaining. I thought the second was just as entertaining. Never saw 3 but this one was just boring. They needed less story (which was pretty much garbage anyway) and more races and asplosions...

For the Love of Benji

This has to be the most boring movie in existence. It was 87 minutes long and had a plot that would have fit 15 minutes. The majority of the film just showing Benji walking around. No sound, no interaction with anything else, just walking.

Been getting into the Planet of the Apes movies. I found them super cheap at FYE. I'm currently on the third one, "Escape from the Planet of the Apes". Although, the second one ("Beneath tPotA") ended with such extreme finality that I wonder how there can be anything after it.

I just got back from watching Ponyo, which was very good. Also, I've been working on watching my 13 favorite films in reverse order, and have watched 13. Blade Runner, and 12. Batman Begins.

I saw Drunken Angel the other day. Really good older Kurosawa with probably my favorite role that Takashi Shimura plays (topping both his roles in Ikiru and Seven Samurai). Toshiro Mifune is in it....of course he was brilliant.
I've been too busy watching "Black Adder" recently to get around to "Dersu Uzala", which is my next movie. Speaking of "Black Adder".....anyone who is a fan of "House" ought to see his roles in "Black Adder III" and "Black Adder Goes Forth" for an interesting Hugh Laurie role. He's probably my favorite actor in the series!

Earlier I watched The Reel-Imaginary Zone and 7. Dawn of the Dead with my good friend Amy, and tonight I watched 6. Ginger Snaps. I'm getting really close to finishing my top films list.
