YADIEB (Yet Another Dangerous IE Bug)

ZDNet has an interesting article on yet
another dangerous bug in Internet Explorer. Yikes! This one is particularly nasty. Basically, any website, no matter how "official" it looks, could acutally be a hoax/trojan horse site. EEP!

It doesn't work on my home Macintosh (using Internet Explorer), but it *does* work on the PC they make me use in the office! Eeeeeek!

Oh, that's too weird...although it doesn't seem to work if you put it directly in the URL bar, only if it's a link of some kind...or at least when I played with it to see if I could do it with our server, that seemed to be the case...

Read: "We'd like to not let anyone know there are such horrible flaws in our software as this".... hmmm... my english fails me, but doesn't the term plausable deniability fit with that?
One of the updates some time ago did something to IE (I don't know if they ever fixed it)... some people started noticing that pages (like search results) would list as "expired" when you'd try to go back there with the "back button." There where also a few other issues (a relitive of mine who does web and intranet page development also reported to me that at about the same time he started having problems with pages that once worked, but now didn't (secure pages and/or forms I believe).... while searching for a fix for this (since my Mom uses IE against my better judgement), I found that there where a bunch of people in the offical MS Usenet Newsgroup forums complaining about this problem too (looking for solutions like me), but where being told by MS that they've not receive any reports of such problems.
Gates and co. sould be in politics rather than business... they'd excell in it!
edit: If I'm reading my Websters correctly, Plausable Deniability would be correct.... or I'm just an idiot... either way

meh, i always look at the links underneath anyway. not like i can't tell.
unless they use Javascript with it to 'cover it' up. then... oh wait, IE has so many errors that Javascripts don't work well. haha, cancels out
stupid IE. and M$ poo.

Once Mozilla 0.8 comes out with all those little bugs fixed, it'll all be over for IE i think.

-_- Stuuuupid IE. I don't use it anymore. There are some pages that don't work in Mozilla, but if they don't, then I just don't go there. ^_^

Here here! I call for a national boycott against all sites that demand you use Win32 technology!
(OK, I do have a copy of IE that I use to access the only site that I have not boycotted, but still!)
