Sounds a bit like Castaway meets Jurassic Park! (with maybe a little Island of Dr. Moreau thrown in.) Good writing though. As they say, practice makes perfect.

Yeah I'm unorignial. 
I actually didn't mean for it to sound like anything that's already been done but *shrugs* I still need to fine tune this so I'm probably going to change this later.

It's hard to be original, truly it is. But telling a familiar, perhaps age-old story in a fresh and original way...that's the ticket! Good luck with this.
