The Double Dribble.

After being fouled out of the basketball game, Tim walks over to see his friend Jim on the bench.

Tim: I want to gobble this rabble’s gabble!

Jim: Why do you hobble and bobble like you’ve dabbled and tippled?

Tim: I doubled-dribbled. A double-dribble is a trouble.

Jim: No, a double-dribble is a double trouble.

Tim: No, a double-dribble is a trouble. A double-dribble doubled is a double trouble.

Jim: A double-dribble doubled is a double trouble doubled. A double-dribble tripled is a double trouble tripled.

Tim: If you topple my dribbles than I’ll nibble your stippled dappled apples!

Jim: My stippled dappled apples are not yours to nibble or gobble. Just because your double-dribble troubles are double troubles, doesn’t mean you should be a rebel who nibbles scrapples.

Tim: My double-dribbles? Your double-dribbles are triple-dribbles. That means your double-dribble troubles are tripled troubles. And your triple-dribbles doubled are triple troubles doubled.

Jim: Don’t be a gribble. Triple-dribbles are gabble babble. Your double-dribble troubles are tripled by hobbles and wobbles. Your double-dribble troubles are doubled when hobbles and wobbles are doubled. Don’t bobble or babble and your double-dribbles won’t be doubled or tripled.

Tim: What a babble bubble.
