broke 20,000 words today! (still going and I am at 21,786) Maybe I can reach the halfway point by Tomorrow 8D that would be a HUGE help with my goal to finish by the 20th! >^<

I'm in a bit of a plot lull though :/ I kinda wrote myself into a hole that I need to get myself out of. It's fun and interesting hole, but it's kinda got the rest of the story on hold for a chapter XD Anyone else running into these problems?

(wonders how much she'll be editing in December XDDD)

W00T! 16,121! I'm finally where I want to be. XD That last scene was extremely easy to write, so that really helped. Ahh, gotta love dream sequences - especially ones with lots of important information. XD Well, I haven't really run into any "writing myself into a hole" problems yet, but I think I will soon, since I just got past my "point-of-no-return" and now I have no idea where I'm going until I get a lot closer to the end, so I'll pretty much be making up the next 25,000 words or so as I go. But hey, that's life. I'm not going to let it spoil my high right now. XD

I'll probably start after Doctor Who is done.

DUN DUN DUUUUUN.

Just broke the 5,000~ word barrier. Okay, I should have had that on Day 3 and it's Day 8, whatever. It's 10% and I'm satisfied with myself.

Also, I've learned I write much better in the evening and late at night.

Only about 700 words tonight. I was kinda off, and I'm tired. I'll probably work more on it tomorrow afternoon. I'll be in much better shape.

I managed to write a good 2 thousand words yesterday with all the distractions of College Football and doing work for a paper due tuesday...so hopefully I'll be able to knock out even more today. In other news, I broke the fourth wall the other day...and will be breaking it much more from here on out...

Not writing tonight. I think I'm fighting something, and I just don't feel like I can do much.

I'll work on it tomorrow.

Wow... yesterday was so weird. I was definitely on a mood roller coaster. I only got 1k written, so I need to make sure I get my usual 2k today. At least we have tomorrow off, so I can make it up then. ^_^

ChristianKitsune: Congrats on breaking the halfway point! *yay!* *yay!* *confetti!* XD I should be doing that later this week. Should be. We'll see if it actually happens. >_<

I may be able to write tonight. I'm not feeling off like last night, but I do feel a bit...out of sorts. We'll see what happens.

Didn't make a huge dent in my progress today, but that's partially because I kinda gave myself a detox by writing about something entirely different for a change of pace.

800 words. I got stuck on where to go to fill in one major subplot.

I think I am going to just work on the ideas in my head and deal with the subplots that work after I reach 50K.

After last morning I thought I would make it over 10,000 however for various reasons I'm going to be stuck at a little under 9000 for probably the rest of today...

I wish this board was this active regularly.

My plot was on fire last night. With a bit more writing, I'll easily break 10,000~ words by tonight, if not more.

Not writing tonight. My parents are having trouble with their computer system (Ubuntu) and the most recent update, so I'm having to go in there and spend time fixing it for them.

I'm a little hurt.

So I just finished writting over 3,500 words...for a Civil War paper...oh how I wish I could just copy and paste this into my novel and not feel as if I was doing something cheap that is ruining the fun of the challenge.

Bleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaargggghhhh.

That was pretty much my day in a nutshell. I hate days off that aren't actually days off because you spend the whole day doing homework. I just finally finished my speech notes - well, almost, except for the introduction and conclusion. I have a free period tomorrow morning, so I'm going to finish those then and spend the rest of my time going over my notes making minor adjustments. And I got absolutely no writing done today. Fortunately I've been staying ahead of where I need to be, so I'm still slightly ahead today, but I do need to write tomorrow.

On another note, I find it very ironic that my laptop crashed three times while I was writing my notes for a persuasive speech on why you should never buy a cheap laptop. And yes, I am using that in the speech.

And finally, I really hope my laptop doesn't die soon, because I think the port for the power cable might be broken. Several times in the past few weeks it has frozen and the screen went all weird when I accidentally tugged on the cord, and now I think it may have broken completely because it's plugged in right now but it's running on battery. It's not the outlet - I tried three different ones. Every once in a while it works, but I have no idea what I'm going to do once the battery dies. I don't think I'll be able to borrow a sibling's laptop, because my sister only has one which she uses all the time, and I had to borrow one of my brother's tonight and he wouldn't let me take it out of his sight. Oh my NaNo, what am I going to do if I don't have a laptop to write on? :waah!:

So, I suppose in the interest of saving the battery for NaNo-ing, I should shut off my lappy now and go to bed. Good night all, and I hope you have better luck than me!

Just in case, save your story to a flash drive so you don't completely lose it if your computer totally dies.

Also, I broke 10,000 words last night and hope to get a lot more in today since I don't have much homework.

Yeah, I've got it saved. I'm trying to fit everything I can onto my external hard drive, which is already completely filled with anime. I just ran out of space actually. >_< We're going to send it in for repairs as soon as possible, and until then I'm going to try and use my sister's laptop that just broke but might work for simple word processing. Here's to hoping it doesn't die on me. X_X *has serious laptop problems*

LOL I just moved my NaNo from OpenOffice to Google Docs so I can work on it from anywhere, and suddenly I have 500 more words. Wow. I knew different word counters sometimes came out different, but I had no idea it could be by that much.
