Six Word Stories

Postby Yuki-Anne » Mon Nov 15, 2010 7:41 am

This is a fascinating art form. There's something about the brevity of a six word story that can be poignant or hilarious. The most famous one was written by Hemingway: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." So much meaning wrapped into so few words.

So this is the thread for your six word stories. It's a great exercise as a writer, trying to ball up as much meaning as you can into six words.

Here's one of my favorites:

Last human. Facebooking. No new posts.

Here are a few of mine:

White spots. My car. That bird...

Parking space.
VRROOMM!
Ferrari.
Sudden bloodlust.

Dare: Frozen pole, my tongue. Mithtake.

Winter, no heater; toilet seat: misery.

Death bed apology. No one heard.

I said, "Stop." He did not.
