Beast and Truth Battle

Postby Okami_Kunoichi » Sat May 01, 2010 9:24 am

inside me it waits
a raging beast
chained to the sins I've done
inside it taunts
"who are you to be alive?"

I question this monster
not seeing it that way
seeing it as Truth
as the Way its suppose to be
"Who am I to be alive?"

The beast roars on
occasionally I get too close
I feel its talons,
sharp and long upon my back
reminiscent of the old days

"who are you" it taunts
"what are you?"
nothing more than a slave girl
one who is a tool to all to use
No amount of love can change that, so it says

I tremble in fear
nothing more than a child
a boat, caught in a whirlwind storm
"Who am I to be alive?"
so I wonder
Some of us have taken very hard knocks to realize - Job or no job, relationships or no relationships - we simply do not stop drinking/using/(insert here), so long as we place dependence upon other people ahead of our dependence on God.

very powerful poem! Love it!
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. I appointed you to be a prophet of all nations."
--Jeremiah 1:5
