J-rock!

Yo! I was just wondering if there are any fellow J-rockers here (there are some new faces so I thought I'd ask ;D). If so post the bands you like here in this thread!
Here are some bands I like:
X Japan (of course!), L'arc-en-ciel, Plastic Tree, Miyavi (a solo artist...and I don't like all of his stuff, just some), a few songs by Gackt, and a couple of Glay's songs.
In case anyone is concerned, most of the bands I like have pretty clean lyrics, although I dunno about Miyavi yet...anyway, X Japan has a few songs I've never heard but I was scared off by their titles O_O and one of their songs is a bit violent (and super long) called Rose of Pain. It's a dark song so if you don't like that, don't listen to it. And Gackt has a song called Vanilla-- stay away from that one. Sexual content. L'arc-en-ciel is clean, and Plastic Tree is pretty clean too. But I don't know about the Glay songs I have, I was never able to find translations and I can't translate them myself if I don't have the kanjiii...I probably couldn't translate them even then, my Japanese skills are pretty feeble -__-;
Anyway....sorry for the long post .___. Bai bai!

I still listen to a lot of J-Rock... again great skate music...
I like Luna Sea and X-japan mainly, but listen to others too..
by the way...
964 X Japan - Endless Rain Ballad Collection
request this from keiichi.net to hear it before you buy.
Most of these types of cd's I can only find at anime cons to be able to walk home with them and that is expensive. It doesn't get much cheaper ordering online due to shipping.
I listen to MaX and Globe from time to time also.

I kinda like Two-Mix, but mostly their stuff they did for Gundam Wing. I only have one soundtrack (Operation 2), but I love the techno remixes to White Reflection, Rythem Emotion and um, the other one I can't remember.

Endless Rain is a great song! I just heard it last week on the radio. Have any of you heard Two Bell Silence by Glay? I really like that song. Though, I cannot make out what they are saying because they're speaking so fast. Hopefully the lyrics aren't bad ones

hmm are you sure you're mentioning J-Rock bands? J-rock is rock-type music that comes from Japan...
i listen to J-rock A LOT! i'm a fan of GLAY (they're clean) and Siam Shade, these two are my favorites! i listen to almost any J-rock, from the popular to the unpopular like X-Japan, Hide (former guitaris of X-Japan), WANDS, Aucifer, Dir'enGrey, Shazna, Mad Capsule Market, Pierrot, SADS, Balzach, Penicillin, BuckTick, La Raine, Animetal, D-Shade and a lot more ^^
i think Laruku (L'arc) is not a J-rock band, they're more alternative than rock...i mean do you really can call the song "Flower" a rock song? ^^

Anyone here listen to shonen knife? I remember them being fairly popular some years back (I liked some of their releases). Wondered if they were still kicking around.

Wasn't Miyavi in Due le Quartz? And Dir en Grey isn't clean? That's no fun...but, I didn't like their music an awful lot anyway....
TheWonderElf wrote:Gackt (Vanilla is nothing compared to Vanilla live...) GLAY, Hide, Hyde (vocalist of Laruku, deff not rock, but whatever)
Vanilla live? I do NOT want to know o_O]L'Arc~en~Ciel (no, they really aren't rock, but neither is Gackt)
I dunno...they seemed like rock to me :]

Luna Sea...I heard one of their songs a long time ago, and it wasn't bad...Malice Mizer I didn't like that much though. Miyavi is pretty good
Kin kon kan! ^_~ Don't like all of his stuff but there are a few songs that I really like.
YAY, Plastic Tree! They are sooooo good :] I love Chiriyuku Bokura
Tetsu is the bass player for Laruku. I'm pretty sure of that...could be wrong though. I didn't know he was doing solo stuff too...
Man...had to post twice -_- It seemed that it didn't want me quoting so many times in one post o_O Can't get it to work right! ; _ ;
