You have a very clean style. They all look great. I especially liked the Paw Paw Bear. *hehe* He's so cute. Great job, Griffie. <-- this name will soon catch on. ~_^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Wow, Smash Bros.? what a compliment! Yeah it probably looks like that because of what kind of program I used to color it (or maybe I resized it too much?). Heck, PhotoImpressions work pretty good, at least for what I want it to do

Thank you ^_^ I know a lot of people who come here will say "Your drawings are nice" or "I like your drawings" but I still like to respond to such remarks because I want people to know I appreciate their feedback.

The Quadruplets

Postby Golden_Griff » Wed Oct 20, 2004 4:48 pm

The three pictures in color have been posted before in the gallery. I finally added Francisca, the third child in the bunch, and the most spoiled :P I'm thinking about changing her name though.

Some chibi-style Big O characters. I drew them somewhat in a rush, so I kinda hate how Norman and Dorothy turned out. But Roger and Beck look better, maybe because of that theory that says the more you do something the better you get at it. I couldn't resist: I had to give Beck that afro

Oh yeah, the second picture (what? second? how did it get in the middle? :stressed: )is a doodle of Amber again--she's ready to hit the snow slopes! I'm starting to realize that Amber is my favorite fan-made character :eyeroll:

Weird Pig I Saw on My Porch

Postby Golden_Griff » Sat Oct 30, 2004 11:26 am

Well actually there was no pig, at least not physically  But do you ever just sit and stare at something and a few minutes later you see an image?

Well, a few years ago I was staring at my porch one day with a lap full of schoolwork and all of a sudden "hmm...that looks like a little pig creature of some sort." I immediately scribbled it down on my notebook paper but I don't know where I put it (yes, I did save that one piece of paper for that one little doodle :eyeroll: ). So here's a more "formal" drawing of it.

It's not in color, but the pig had patches all over it's body.

EDITED: YES! Finally able to get it to upload  Hopefully I didn't decrease the quality too much with all that adjusting I had to do :eh:

Wow, that's really great, Griffie! ^___^ Did you only use pencil? I'd love to see you color it. You have a very definite style, and I really like it.

Which one? The pig or Wario & Bertha? Or both? ;)

Yep, nothing but my good ol' Bic #2 mechanical pencil...or did I use my 2H graphite? :stressed: Either or, I didn't use any other special tools except a pencil--I have limited resources  Doing the best I can with what I got! ;)

Elf

Postby Golden_Griff » Wed Nov 03, 2004 7:05 pm

I was working on ideas for an avatar someone wanted me to make for them. I came to the realization that I didn't want to use this particular image so it was turned into a black and white 'doodle'. Very itty bitty but very cute :)

Although the wardrobe kinda suggests it, I had no intentions of drawing a "seasonal employee" :eyeroll:

Ophelia has her nose in a book again :eyeroll: There was more to the picture (she had her hand up with a insect on it) but I think the arms were too disproportionate >_< I tried to color it but the color was too blotchy on the picture.

UPDATE: I also added color to the pig on the porch: (blast it! have to go fetch the link)

FINALLY got the revised ham to upload (page 4). :shady:
