Anyone do level / character / mutator mods?

Have a video game or or VG review? This is the place to to discuss it! We also accept discussions of board games and the like, but SHHH! Don't tell anyone, OK?

Anyone do level / character / mutator mods?

I just got the book "Mastering the art of Unreal Volume 1" and I'm going through the tutorials so I can build my own levels in UT3. Unreal editor is one of the most crashy, picky, strange programs out there, but it's nice to be able to use the things you make, and it's great because you can put them on the PS3 version too, and play them with friends on PSN.

Anyone in here make mods? I'm mostly wondering about UT3 mods, but other mod makers can speak up too. Source, Ut2k4, Civilization, whatever. Well, actually, I'd prefer people kept it mostly to 3d mods...

In addition to the tutorials, I'm also working on static meshes for flooring and for the ceilings, now. I've got to make pathways and staircases and catwalks and such, which I'll make in 3ds max. My current level is almost nothing but builder brushes. Looks terrible.
