Just wonder if there are any tales of fans here on this site.
If you are a fan of the Tales of series name your Favorite game in the series & why?
Favorite Character in the series & why?
Also favorite special attack (aka Hi-Ougi) in the series.
Also favorite couple in the series (like for example Lloyd & Collete)

My favorite game is the Tales of series is as you probably guessed Tales of Symphonia. Reason why is cause for one it was the first ever Tales of game I ever played so that makes it my first LOVE LOL, But the other reason is cause I just like how the story played out & how you could make you own decisions in it & that would affect how the story presided at certain points. It was just so amazing to me & it's the closet you will get to a Christian JRPG game in my honest opinion.

My favorite Character in the Series is Lloyd. Mostly cause I can relate to him. I'm not really smart me when comes to other people with school work & academics but when it comes to helping people in need I'm the first to jump & go help that person in anyway I can like Lloyd.

Favorite Special attack is actually not Lloyd's it's Kratos's special attack Shining Bind.

Favorite couple in the Series is actually like I said in my example Lloyd & Collette.

Moved to Gamers Galore ^^

I've never played any of the Tale games before (I'm missing out), but I heard great things about them ^__^

Sadly, I have never played any of the games. D:(I've watched my brother play one of them, though)
I'm a really big fan of the different Tales anime, though! \o_o/ Mostly Tales of the Abyss and Symphonia.

Symphonia is like, one of the greatest games ever. I've never played any of the others though.

Tales of Symphonia was the first game I ever beat. I love it to pieces. I mostly fight with Colette and Sheena unless neither of them are around. Colette's slightly annoying to use in the beginning of the game since she doesn't have wings and moves rather slowly overall, but she gets some seriously awesome attacks later. I frequently use Ring Whirlwind and Angel Feathers.

Sheena's easier to get used to, but I haven't taken full advantage of all she can do. I never summon anything while in battle, but most times I don't need to.

Colette and Sheena are my favorites, but I like all the characters, even Zelos, who annoyed the crap out of me the first time I played through the game. Now I just think he's funny, XD.

Zelos is awesome and hilarious. Even if I don't really use him, I could never
kill him off
I'm a pretty big fan of using Sheena. Lloyd is so strong I imagine it would be much harder to play without him in your party. Raine is necessary for her healing skillz. I usually switch the fourth spot around depending on the run through. I used Genis my first time, and Presea my second. The problem I've found now is that I like having Presea in my party so much I'm not sure who I could switch with her.

Colette is pretty cool with her angelic attacks, but I've never really used her.

Also, Sheena's summons are immensely helpful against Kuchiniwa. I had about 100 HP and got overlimit, so which I used to summon Volt and barely won. Plus, they look really cool.

I think there were a few points where I ended up not having Lloyd in the party, but they were always during one of those "Hey guys! Let's split up and destroy this ranch!" things.

When I have to split like that, I generally try not to have Genis and Raine in the same group simply because casting spells takes time. I know you can customize all sorts of things to make it work, but I like keeping things simple.

As for regular roaming around, I always have Lloyd, Colette (or Sheena depending on where I am. I'll never have both of them in at the same time), and Raine. For boss battles, I'll make Raine only use her healing spells.
kill him off

Are you talking about the alternate ending where you get Kratos back? I have yet to try that. I want to finish my second run through in canon (which also means pairing Lloyd and Colette, XD) before messing around with the plot.
I own Symphonia, Legendia, and The Abyss. I have a borrowed copy of Vesperia sitting on my shelf (have yet to play it), and I played Destiny back in the day on SNES. So, yeah, you could say I'm a fan =).

My favorite of them is probably Legendia. I recognize that Symphonia is an objectively better game, but I had a better overall experience w/ Legendia: Mrs. Doc and I played through it together. It was super-fun. I totally recommend playing through RPGs w/ your wife/girlfriend if she is willing and into that sort of thing.

I really enjoyed Chloe from Legendia. I honestly can't remember the names of the attacks, though. And I call myself a nerd...sheesh.

Well, obviously when you split up your party yeah, but I can think of a lot of boss battles where the difficulty would be raised simply by not having Lloyd. He's a beast ba dum pish.('Cause, ya' know...he's has that attack called beast).

Yeah, Genis and Raine aren't the best duo when you only have three people. I did it once, with Colette as their third team member, and it, well, was a pain. I needed my three heavy hitters for Kvar, though, so I'd probably do it again.

I think I'm actually going to play it again now, since I need a new game to play until I get to finally play Mass Effect this summer. I wonder who I should use for my empty party slot...I'm thinking about keeping Presea and dropping Sheena for someone else, but I dunno if I could do that.

Oh, don't worry, if you want Lloyd and Colette, then you'll be fine. The only way to get Kratos back is to have him do the night in Flanoir with Lloyd, but I'm guessing you'll do that with Colette, which is really easy.

Also, I'll just leave this here...

Symphonia here. It's the only game I played, so by default it's my favorite. (Although it's pretty much my favorite game, period.)

I really like Raine, I really want to cosplay her someday. Although besides that, I think she is an overall awesome character. And she's always in my party, mostly for healing and light spells.

I have to play it some more though, I want to get the 100% collection book. Also, now I'm starting to set Raine and Genis to S-Type, mostly Raine because she gets some awesome healing spells (Like where you can heal one character fully; they're mostly based in a single character instead of many.). Even for being a healer I've managed to get her through Advanced in the Coliseum.

Apparently if you use the right titles and the EX gem that adds an attack to the standard combo Raine isn't half-bad at melee either. Not that anyone would use her for anything else, but it's there.

Anyone here try any of the more challenging titles? Like Genis's "I hate gels"?

Nah, I haven't bothered much with titles. However, I do like to get Zelos' Loudmouth title, just because it is awesome. But when I get the Coliseum titles, I usually use those because of the high bonuses.

I love Zelos. He is so funny to me.

But what I don't like is how the switched Zelos voice actor in Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World that sucked. Same with how they switched Lloyd's voice. I didn't like neather one of there new voice actors. Every other voice in Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New world was great to me. But it wasn't nearly as great as the first game. Also there no spoiler so those who haven't played ToS:Dotnw can still play it without spoilers.

I think just about every voice actor was replaced. I personally don't want to bother with DotNW, not for a long time. *hugs original game*

So...I deleted what I was going to post...go me...so here's the abridged version:

Favorite Game: Tales of Symphonia

Favorite Character(s): Regal, Sheena, Lloyd, Kratos and the Main villains from Phantasia and Symphonia

Favorite Move: Ain Soph Auir...even though I hate Emil...actually, come to think of it, all of the Mystic Artes in Dawn of the New World were pretty cool outside of Sheena's...which had nothing to do with her summoning abilities...yeah. Also, every one of Sheena's summoning, attack...things...

Regal...it was hilarious to play it this time and be all ":O It's Crispin Freeman!! What's Holland doing in Tales?!" I've never actually used him before, he shows up so late that I already have my team set up and don't want to mess around with it.

Favorite move, huh. Demonic Chaos. Lloyd with this is invincible. I've never run through as him, but every time I have to use him all you have to do is spam that attack. Also, Prism Stars, though that's only for Unison attacks. Still, pretty freaking awesome to get 60+ hits with one move.

I've played through Phantasia, Eternia, Symphonia, and Abyss...so yeah, I'm a fan. Can't play Vesperia due to lack of 360.

I'm annoyed that Namco-Bandai didn't localize Innocence or Hearts(multiple games on the DS, and you'd assume we would get at least one of them...), and will be even more annoyed if they don't bring over Graces.

I played all the way through Symphonia and started a new game +, but the story wasn't really gripping enough to go through a second time.

I enjoyed it, over all. At least for one play through. Probably the best part was the fact that it had a pseudo co-op mode. My sister and I took turns as first player and it was a blast. Our party was usually Raine, Kratos, Lloyd/Presea, and Sheena. I played as Lloyd or Presea, depending on how I felt and also mapped the c-stick to Raine's healing and attacking moves so I could sort of control her as well. My sister used Kratos and split between healing and damage dealing. It worked great, although the game was pretty easy that way.

Yeah, I know that; I just haven't tried it yet. What I meant by the whole Lloyd and Colette thing is that you can make the game lean more towards LloydxSheena, apparently. I haven't tried it yet, since I'm only on my second run through.

Also, Dawn of the New World doesn't exist to me, XD.

Oh yeah, Regal's pretty awesome too. But it's funny when you finish a fight with him and Lloyd starts making fun of him.

Actually I own Tales of Abyss also & I would have to say it's my second favorite Tales of game. My third favorite is Vesperia.

Don't own a 360 but when my brother had a 360 I played through a little bit of it when he had a 360 but I never beat Vesperia cause I had to give my brother back his 360 & then give my friend back his copy of Vesperia. I want the PS3 version of Vesperia to come out here in the USA & not stay exclusively in Japan. I also want Graces to come out here also.

I have played Legendia & it was my least favorite tales of game out of the whole series. Legendia just freaked me out with the singing otters LOL. I actually would have to say ToS:Dawn of the New world is way better than Legendia even though I think they could have done better on it.
