Heheh, played DDr a few times, but I'm more a Drum Mania person ^^ (Also Konami's--a drum simulation game).

As for dancing simuls, I was into PIU (Pump It Up : Korean type DDR with 5 panels instead of 4) and I also had some fun with Para Para Paradise (Full body simul~! Played the Korean ver. too).

It's sad there isn't DDR 3rd Mix here in the U.S., I honestly think 3rd Mix is the best ver. :dance:

Oh my goooooosh it's about time someone started a DDR thread......

I LOVE that game. Love love love it :DDD I play 5th Mix at the arcade! I love 5th Mix :]

What are some of y'all favorite songs? What's the highest difficulty you can do?

Fav songs? Hmm... Aeronova, Butterfly, La Senorita, Kick the Bucket (is that in 5th? I don't remember -_-;; ). As for difficulty, I don't remember my max ^^;;

I'm not that good anyway, probably could survive Trick on songs like Butterfly, Paranoia, etc etc (a LONG time ago).

Ooh! And one of my favs is Wonderland in SSR mode--man, I can only pass that song if I'm on 100% concentration O_o (and I only passed it, what--? 2 times out of 5--IF I'm lucky? XD)

At which arcade are you playing at Shiroi? There's 5th mix here in the US???? O__O

ssh....there are 5th Mixes but they're imports....^^;; Hehe.

I play at Cactus Jack's in Oklahoma City. ^_^ They have Extreme too...and their 5th Mix is the only one left in the whole area...everyone else has Max 2 XP I hate that mix...

Some of me fave songs are Healing Vision, Captain Jack, Dream a Dream, um...Matsuri Japan...Dive...My Generation..lots more :D

I can do two six-foot songs: Dream a Dream Trick and Healing Vision Trick. Other than that...hm. There are some five-footers I can't pass yet...-_- Like Matsuri Japan Trick...garrr. Yeah, I'm not very good ._.

I had no idea there was one in Maine! I thought the closest they came was New York. So, this is a yearly thing, right? How big is it? Do they cover games and anime both?

You lucky thing! You have DDR at home ; _____ ; I want a home kit .__. But nooo, I have to drive 40 miles to play at the arcade...where elitist experts point and laugh at my pathetic-ness...but if I do get a PS2 I'm modding it so I can buy an imported 5th Mix...I dun like the Max mixes...

I dunno where the nearest arcade is from here 0_o I've acually never seen em at an arcade as of late

Yeah...I dunno if all arcades have the DDR machines, but there's quite a DDR scene in this area. They're all elitist though, it's no fun ; _ ; They do hold tournaments about every month, but I don't enter anymore, I had a bad experience with one.

What version of the game are you going to get? I'd say to get the US release of DDR Max if you're gonna get one...I heard Konamix is rather inferior, lol. I can't think of any good songs from Max at the moment...I'm sure there's at least one ^^;

DDR is awesome! I can't believe i've missed this thread.

My group of friends are obsessed with the game. We have about 4 different version of the game, 3 of the original ones and the newer PS2 version. There isn't really a game like it... you actually get some exercise when you play it, hehe.

Also it's a good opportunity to make a fool of yourself.

LOL we have indeed. But how in the world do you get newer songs. We got 3 new ones but they stink...I want the song Drop The Bomb..

American versions of DDR suck. I want impooooorts...; _ ; I could probably get a 5th Mix home setup online but it'd cost a ton...plus, I don't even have a PS2 >< So it'd prolly cost me like $300 to get DDR at home. Well...never mind that. I guess I'll just keep playing at the arcade...it's a wonder I even learned how to play. Hopping around like a fool in front of people isn't normally my cup of tea...as long as I don't look around while I'm playing I'm alright ^^;;;

I got to play DDR Extreme when I was on vacation in Ocean City, MD. It has a good selection of songs and it's an import. I also played a Korean import DDR at a movie theater a couple times. That was awesome too.
