If Assist is *anything* like Mage, then Mages should be fun. I love my Assist! Assists are fun. Especially spam healing =P
I finally hit 20 with her, so I got RESS! YES! (it might not mean a lot to you guys, but it means a lot to me...)
Anyway, I would definitely suggest Mage/Assist to anyone new. They're fun ^_^ Acro is fun too, so long as you do it right (and maybe party up often).

I wasn't having much fun with my acro character.... so he's still at level 15, but I made a new character and she's already a level 22 assist!

Being and assist owns. It's taking me a REALLY long time to level up my spells though. I still haven't got my ress skill yet or heapup or anything... :/

YOU'RE Fialianna? I see you! A lot! My assist is now level 26 with 40 some odd percent exp. I love Acro, but my first character sucked, so I burned him. XD And I'm working on another one right now.

Character names (if you want to add them)
Minamo (level 26 Assist)
PerfectImposter (level 7 Vag, soon to be Yoyo Acro)

Also, Felix, the best advice I have is to spam your spells. Buy some Refreshers, kill an enemy that gives you 100% pxp for every kill, then use the spell until you run out of pxp. Bangs would be a good bet, I'd guess, because I could solo Boss Bangs with my Assist at level 18 and I spammed my spells with them until level 23.
And on a side note, do you know how to heal yourself mid-combat yet? I didn't until yesterday. If you try to heal/buff while having an enemy selected, you can't do it. To unselect, use the Escape key. You might have known that already, but I just thought I'd put it out there in case you didn't. Things got A LOT easier for me when I learned it.

That is one of the most essential things to know if you're gonna play assist. I mean, you can do it without knowing it (I did till I was like, level 20), but that makes it soo much easier.

Addicted is an understatement ^_^ I absolutely *LOVE* this game (not to the point where I'll actually pay for gpotatoes, though).

And if Minamo is online, I'm always looking for people to party up with (mainly because I still don't have Burst Crack...). And if anyone ever needs a ress, don't hesitate to ask. I'm having a tough time getting my ress to level up. I want Circle Healing! *ARGH*

Thanks for the tip about levelling up spells o.o I had no idea what pxp even does until now. I'll have to go try that out right away

I am now a Lvl 15 assist. My brother is an acrobat and he hates it. Does anybody know how to job change from an acrobat to a mage? He is having a hard time finding out how.

You can't job change like that. He's stuck. But acro is fun! He just needs to try it.

BTW, for everone to know, my old character *does not exist anymore*. My only characters are Minamo and PerfectImposter. Just saying ^_^

So... I finally got my broom today and started to fly...and well...after a little bit of fooling around... I tried to get off of it... an hour later (or at least it felt like an hour later) I succeded...yeah, I'm a noob at flying...

I don't like to double post, but...

Who's the highest level person here? I was talkin' to msp in-game yesterday and we were talking about the guild, and he said we need to have a level 50 member to do it. I just wanted an idea of how long it would take.

So.... Minamo is level 30.

I'm just kinda fed up with that guild I'm in. I'm like, and inch away from asking the guild leader to boot me. Besides, the reason I joined this game was to hang out with you guys (kind of ^_^)! I just wanna get the CAA guild off the ground ASAP. We need to make our presence known.

I know I post here everyday and I'm getting pretty annoying but....

I was bored yesterday, so I decided to look at my guild's register, and I noticed something. My guild *doesn't have* a level 50 character. The guild leader is only level 41, which makes me think the required level is 40. Since Minamo is level 33 and Shia Kyoska is nowhere to be found, the beginning is imminent my friends *tries to cakle evilly but coughs*

Geez, don't you guys ever take a break?!

Well, over the time I've been playing FlyFF, I've been having trouble levelling. Picking mercenary was a BIG mistake. Levelling is the hardest thing ever when you get to 25 and up.

So, instead of quitting FlyFF all together, I've been taking a break.

I'll start again, today though. I just won't be spending all day on FlyFF just to go up one or two levels... :|.

When I get to level 50 with my Merc, I doubt I'll continue using him. I'll probably start a Mage or whichever class uses the giant arm.

Looks like you are Mr. Super High Level....

But perhaps the guild leader gave power to the level 41 user? I did ask random people and it says you have to be level 50. PLUS the help thing in the game says you have to be level 50.

Anyway, looks like you'll be starting it.

I kinda regret doing a merc. But I think I'll stick with him

If any of you guys wanna come level with me, it's fine. I'm one of those guys that uses the giant arm (aka Assist) ^_^ It is tough to level after 25, unless you know what you're doing. BTW, is anyone a female merc? If so, I got a Cylos Boots and Helm that I'll give you (It's the level 30 Female Merc set - free!). Also, Felix, if you read this, message me in game and I'll give you a Sayram Helm and Boots (Level 30 Female Assist set pieces - also Free; I need to clean out my inventory. It's full!). I also have a 2 Miragle Boots and a Miragle Helm, and a Merr Helm if anyone happens to be a mage or acrobat.

I hadn't thought of that. I suppose you do need to be 50, then. Sorry 'bout getting everyone's hopes up (if I did... I know mine were!)

Come on, guys! We need Mercs. Merc=Tank. When we party up, a tank or two is useful! Btw - Tank = the guy who takes all the damage while others beat down the enemies. Mercs are important! But we need mages and assists and acros, too. I'm going to start working on my acro again (eventually), but we could probably do with one more. One of my in-game friends is a mage, so we prolly only need one more of those, and another of my in-game friends is a merc. We gots all kinds of tanks!

Well, thing is, Mercs do best during party levelling.

I'm usually a solo-er. I'd party, but there's too many rude people and people who don't/can hardly speak english on there...

Sorry, I know my comment sounded bad, but it was just discouraging to log on here and find out that no one else likes being a merc. It is my type of character, and your right about party leveling. The problem is I am only level 15, and no-one cares to party with a 15 lvl merc. Also, what is the best way to distribute your points? So far I have been dividing up my points STR-2-DEX-1-STA-1-INT-0 What do you guys think? Also, I love playing as tanks, as long as I got a decent priest (Assist in this case) healing me. I have done it for other games a little bit. Anyway, now I am just rambling...

NO NONONONO

For a merc. From now on. Contribute MOST of your stats to Dexterity. Trust me. In the end. Speed overcomes strength. Your attack power will come mostly from your weapons. NOT your stats

Add the most to Dexterity, THEN Stamina. Ignore strength for like.. forever or something XD Intelligence you dont need at all.
