I can't stand Diablo... Or Baldur's Gate... I prefer the style of RPG's I get on consoles... And, as for ultima, I've never played any of the computer games... Hehe, I only played the nintendo games, and I loved one of them (the others sucked, don't remember which one I liked... You constantly get tested in your "values" like honesty, valor and such...) and Ultima stopped after UO...
My favorite games are all on consoles except for RPG Maker 2000 and Sim Tower... I'll have to settle for RPG Maker 5, er I mean "2" sorry... on PS2 which does not really compare... (so limited on PS2 to what you can make...) Consoles are just so much more convenient... They are small, you can move them around more easily than a PC, and laptops aren't that good for playing games... They start up right away (except some games that take a year to load, but longer on PC...) and you don't have to deal with instalations and viruses and not so much with hackers and compatability issues... I've only played one console game that crashed... Ok, like 5... Spiritual Warfare (not professionally made...), Tomb Raider (crap series anyhow... They were made for computers, not for consoles...), Final Fantasy 7, tactics, and Chrono Cross(only because I used bad gameshark codes! Hehehe) so all of those games had understandable reasons to crash... There are too many variables on PC's and Mac's just aren't that good for games and there aren't that many out for Macs anyhow... Drivers are rediculous, and so many issues to fix... Consoles are cheaper than new video cards to play high calibur games (500 for the newest ATI card?)
I haven't played that many games on Computer that I liked... Nor on X-box, and that makes sense since most X-box games are PC ports... I hate using a mouse and keyboard to play games... I need my Dual Shock! It's just so much easier... All of the buttons are used, you have all of the functions you need in a small little space, unless you're playing that one Mech Warrior game, (X-box) that's insane... I mean, going for REALISM in a game about giant fighting robots...
Anyhow... Even if some of my faves get a PC release, I prefer Consoles and will probably always prefer consoles...
