I got to the last dungeon on this game but I never finished it. To say this game is challenging is a bit of an understatement.

Anyone else played AOL?

Yay! Someone experiencing one of the hardest/bestest games there is. Which part of the last dungeon did you get stuck on, or are you just lost all over? It's really huge--you may have to grab a pencil and paper.

This is really the only Zelda game I've played and didn't like at all (never played Ages/Seasons or Link's Awakening though). I got really far in it but the Nintendo reset the saved games and I didn't/don't care to replay it... I hated it anyway and it hardly felt like a Zelda game anyway...

Was never big on RPG's and I still don't like most (Chrono Trigger is an exception). It was pretty hard though, I'll give you that...

I think this game is unfairly maligned, though I can definitely understand why many people don't like it or would prefer not to play it. But the game moved the Zelda series forward, provided a decent challenge, and the RPG elements can actually be mostly ignored.

Personally, my least favorite area was the path to the last dungeon (or any area with bottomless pits, as a matter of principle). The final area does have the worst of the atrocious sword-fighting mechanics, though. Thunderbird is difficult but fun, then Dark Link is just irritating.

I found it a great game. It was tough and I enjoyed the challenge.....though I hated having to get help from the internet a few places (ugh!)
The last dungeon is tough, but with enough patience, you can survive!

Well actually. I'm still trying to get through those caves to get to the final dungeon.

They made those areas riduculously tough.

I'm gonna pull out a strategy guide once I finally make it to the last dungeon.:thumb:

I LOVED this game! I don't think I ever got past the third level, though.

My brother beat the game, I think a few different times. It's his favorite Zelda game.
